We visited this restaurant for a spot of late lunch once arriving in Bath for the first time. It's in a lovely location and the decor and layout of the brasserie is fantastic. Absolutely stunning settings with a fabulous little room ideal for relaxing with an afternoon tea. I recommend booking for an ideal little table next to a window.... More

Returned, this time for dinner, the food was delicious especially the Steak Tartare. The welcome and service was warm and friendly and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Visiting Bath to meet up with old friends and introduced to new friends...Brasserie Blanc was perfect for ambience, good food and really nice staff. Without exception all of our food was delicious but not pretentious...good honest flavours, great steaks and soufles to die for...would highly recommend and will return!

Am I a student? Yes...Was I wearing a shirt and tie? No..... My girlfriend and I walked into this restaurant at 1845, we politely enquired whether it was possible for us to eat from the set menu even though it stopped at 1830. What followed was possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. With a... More

Seems to have lost it's way a little bit. Food off the a la carte menu is expensive for what you get. Good choice of wine but at the high end of the price range for what you are getting.

We booked a table after the theatre on a Saturday night. 10pm. The restaurant was nearly empty, but full of dirty tables. A table had to be prepared before we could be seated. Staff were standing around chatting. Food very mediocre, too much salt, too much vinegar. Menus on really tired used paper, as was the comment sheet asked for... More

The ambience in the restaurant is perfect, the service excellent and the choices of food wonderful - my Mum and I love it there. But it is also good to visit with friends and loved ones. Very special

Brasserie Blanc is “associated” with Raymond Blanc, “with a dream making the best of French cuisine affordable to all” (from their website). We found the restaurant a real mixed bag. The food and service were good, the menu is extensive, and including a good range of food/wine. Maybe a bit expensive, but this is central Bath, one of the main... More

We do like to eat here occasionally. It always has a pleasant atmosphere, but not pretentious, and in a nice location. We went for a late lunch and had the set menu and a bottle of wine. The fixed menu is excellent value but none the less of good quality. Service was good and we had a lovely time. The... More

There are many places to eat in Bath and I would expect the price, decor and service to all be in line. I would also expect BB to be similar in all locations much as Cote brasserie is. Sadly not Brasserie Blanc in Bath. Perhaps it's a franchise? But certainly neither the premises nor service do justice to the Blanc... More

Brasserie Blanc is located in the Francis Hotel on the beautiful Queen Square and within walking distance of Bath's shops, restaurants and the world famous Roman Baths & Pump Rooms.

On arrival you will be greeted by our friendly, knowledgeable team and the lively ambience is complemented by a menu inspired by the simple, hearty dishes of M. Blanc's childhood. Alongside an appetising a la carte menu and carefully selected wine list it offers an excellent value set menu and on Sundays it serves a classic roast with all the trimmings. Younger diners can choose from a special children's menu or order a half sized portion of many of the a la carte dishes on offer.Whether you are looking for a simple lunch, a romantic dinner or a family celebration it is the perfect choice!
