This place is tiny, but the food is lovely and the ambiance well worth feeling a bit squeezed ! Service not the fastest, but very friendly

Probably one of the smallest pubs in the city in one of the oldest buildings (about 300 years old) and perhaps not much changed except for the stock and the patrons. Try to pick your moment, because it doesn't take many for this place to fill up and 'standing room only' is the norm. There are three bar areas, all... More

I planned to have a quick pint here whilst my wife was doing some shopping but ended up staying for another with her. It was a really nice and friendly old fashioned pub, the sort that you just don't seem to see anymore. Nice beers and friendly chat with locals too.

Great beer ad good atmosphere in this tiny pub. A gem of a place with lovely wood panelling and friendly staff.

My wife and I just dropped in for a drink going back to our hotel. Small pub but we managed to find a table and enjoyed our drinks even Canadian Club which is now very difficult to find in the UK. I would like to know why. Great atmosphere and very friendly people.

Small traditional pub. Wood panelled walls. Basic furniture. Mainly male clientele. This place is all about the quality of the drinks. The staff were very welcoming and generous with their smiles.

Very characterful, old, very small public house in Green Street. A very good selection of real ales available always. Small food menu at lunch time. Welcoming and cheery atmosphere. Don't go with a large group of friends as you won't all fit in!

I loved the period feel of the pub, it was like being transported back in time. Great choices of drinks. All in all I would definitely recommend going here for the friendly and homely atmosphere. I hope it never changes.
