The 6 course tasting menu was fabulous. Every dish beautifully presented and utterly delicious. We seem to have had a lot of tasting menus lately and this was far in a way the best. I love the cosy atmosphere and the staff were delightful. My husband had the wine flight and as a fine wine enthusiast he was impressed. I... More

My wife and I dined at the Olive Tree on two successive nights whilst staying at the Queensberry Hotel. My wife has a dairy allergy and this was catered for superbly. She had almost exactly the same tasting menu as I had with subtle alterations made to substitute dairy ingredients with non dairy. Sadly most restaurants really seem to struggle... More

Although not in the dead centre of Bath, it's only a short walk from the high street and benefits from being situated in a slightly quieter residential area. There were two types of tasting menu on offer and both are very good indeed. The variety of high end cuisine is great and the foods are seasonal and locally sourced. Most... More

So here's the brief? Weekend away with very good friends as a treat for my husband's 60th? Two nights in the hotel Friday night at the pub and Saturday at the rugby we were looking forward to a lovely meal in the hotel. We spent our arrival evening in the bar where we chatted with the bar maid (an expert... More

Dear Table42Travel, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the Olive Tree. We were very pleased to read your kind words on the team and in particular on Ewelina our Barperson, she is a great asset to the bar. We were equally disappointed by your comments regarding the restaurant. We offer a "deformalised fine dining experience".... More

My wife were staying at the. Queens berry hotel and had a great meal at the Olive Tree. We chose the taster menu and would really recommend the restaurant not only for the delicious meal but also the excellent service.

We booked for dinner as we were staying at the hotel. Enjoyed a drink at the hotel bar and were introduced to the 5 or 7 course degustation dinner. We chose the 5 course and were super impressed. Staff recommended a lovely Argentinian Malbec to drink. The service was excellent and each course was a delight. We especially enjoyed the... More

Gorgeous food, great service. Everything was beautiful. I had crab lasagne, rose veal and peanut butter parfait. Glass of bubbles. Cream cheese and truffle profiteroles were such a treat. Very memorable

My family and I dined here on Saturday night and had the most lovely dinner. The staff were all excellent and service was faultless. There are 2 tasting menus to choose from but they are happy for you to mix and match and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

4 of us went here for lunch - 2 of whom were in their late 70s. There was a set menu with a number of choices and a la carte. We all opted for various dishes from the set menu and were all very happy with our choices. The quality of the cooking was wonderful and impossible to fault -... More

We went on Saturday and had a drink in the bar upstairs before lunch. They have a good selection of wines and cocktails and the lady serving was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere throughout was relaxed. We had the seasonal tasting menu for lunch. The food was exceptional right from the amuse bouche to the petit fours. Each course was... More
