If one more person asks me if this pub is still open or not I will scream. Of course I had a hyperactive passion for the place during the bustling Mark and Di/Sylvia/Phil days when it was firmly on the map and not 'hidden' and we all worked hard to keep it open, but people not anymore since my partner... This pub has everything you could wish for - fantastic food, laid back atmosphere, loads of special events, lovely terrace, great landlord and bartender, sweetest cat and prosecco that doesn't give you a hangover!

Totally delicious Sunday lunch. Amazing Yorkshire puddings, roast beef and tasty gravy. Also loved the brioche bread and butter pudding. Will definitely return.

Just a short taxi/bus ride (or a 15 minute uphill walk) from the centre of Bath, this wonderful historic pub has it all: local beers, lovely garden, dog bowls, and a Cordon Bleu trained chef/landlord with a double bass! Escape the crowds and enjoy the authentic and welcoming 'village inn' atmosphere that's a million miles from many of the tourist... More

Step away from the madness of a very busy Bath. Take a stroll upto Lansdown and you come across a hidden gem. The Richmond with it's lovely South facing courtyard was an amazing find. With loads of character this buzzing pub was just what we were looking for and importantly it is dog friendly. The landlord was very welcoming and... More

We booked to join a monthly supper club at the pub. We were served the highest quality three course dinner, plus cheese and coffee. Better quality and value than Bath's high class restaurants. Seated with people we didn't previously know we had the best evening. I love this pub which is, at last, a proper local. The atmosphere is relaxed... More

Still struggling to be the place it used to be and lacks a clear identity, but anyway the proliferation of A boards reminding people the place is open is reassuring given the gossip in the city centre that RA has finally closed down..

We went on a winter Saturday evening, to find a very limited menu, with mains of pasta, sausages, hotpot, and hash. So no joined up meat or fish, and the stews were not even well done, stodgy rather than hearty and no vegetables, other than potato. The chef seemed to spend more time in the bar chatting than cooking.

Fourteen of us who play tennis on a Sunday morning at Lansdown Tennis, Squash & Croquet Club a few yards away met here for our Christmas lunch. The menu arranged by Jeremy was really excellent as was the table setting and service. Jeremy's passionate about food and it shows! The Richmond's one of the hidden gems of Bath and whatever... I cannot fault The Richmond Arms. From start to finish we experienced superb service, food, atmosphere and conversation. We were greeted by the chef in the very intimate setting and although the service was on hand, we were also left to enjoy our evening. The simple menu was great and the food was delightful - even better when the chef... More
