I am not sure I am able to say in today’s general neutral society that the female members of staff were superb, very friendly and highly professional, whereas dear old Basil was insulting and highly unprofessional ( not really he was superb too) How a...More

We popped in late in the evening and had some nice beers, soup and burgers. We enjoyed the meal and location to our hotel.

Was here for a Sunday meal after visiting Bath for the weekend. The spiced prawn starter was delicious. I had the lamb leg for mains and this was very nice. The Yorkshire pudding was unlike I’ve tasted before. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

My fiance and I booked as we love a cosy pub with good food. I was planning a proposal on the day, and it ended up happening just before dinner. The staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. My steak was beautifully done, and delicious!...More

I popped in for a warming soup on a cold day at 2pm to be told the chef had closed the kitchen. However the friendly bar staff called the kitchen to confirm and the response was they couldn't russle up a soup.

We could not believe our eyes when we saw the King William pub from the outside! It looks like a very cozy and warm end of terrace house adorned with teapots and the days papers! It was very welcoming inside but we were sad to...More

We had heard a lot of positive things about the King William, yet as long-time Bath residents we had never tried the restaurant. Booked a table of 9, with our family, and off we went. First impressions were good. Nice ambiance, friendly and attentive front-of-house...More

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Great food - probably the tastiest roast beef I’ve ever had with lovely roast potatoes, carrots and veg gratin, Yorkshire pud and gravy. Portion size was excellent. Starters were also very good with the rabbit terrine very good indeed. Soup was...More

When the King William restaurant in Bath was converted from the knackered pub it used to be, it became it gastronomic hotspot for Bath-ites who adore the excellent food and relaxed setting. The ground floor is a pub, with the fine dining room upstairs, all now eclectically kitted out with in shades of mauve with antiques, chandeliers and daily blackboard specials. Seasonal, free-range, organic and local sum up the provenance perfectly, for dishes like fried squid with fennel, ruby chard and green sauce and main of fantastic braised lamb for two with herb broth, mash and local greens. Superb small-producer beers and ales and a blistering wine list crown King William a top restaurant in Bath.
