My family often stay here when in the area, and suggested we went for afternoon tea. It is certainly a beautiful building and well worth taking the taxi ride out of town to visit. We sat in picture lined comfort and enjoyed lovely offerings in sensible sizes. I was a bit mistified by the huge quantity of tea leaves in... More

On 12th Dec’16 we made a reservation by phone for lunch at 13:15 on the following day (our 36th wedding anniversary) at The Priory. Complimentary canapes and drinks were on offer if we could be at the Priory by 12:45. On arrival at this earlier time, our booking was not found on the computer, and the restaurant was full. We... Dear Chris P, Thank you for the feedback following your visit in December. Naturally I am disappointed to receive your comments and I am most embarrassed about the incident with your lunch booking, especially when celebrating such an important occasion. Ate at the Bath Priory restaurant 3 times over the course of a stay at the Bath Priory Hotel. Dishes were varied and delicious. The pollock was amazing and I am not really a fish lover. Desserts were a highlight, in particular the salted caramel fondant and the apple soufflé. Matching wines were well paired. Service was very attentive. The... More

Drinks behind the lovely log fire set us up beautifully.for our wedding anniversary..but from then it was down hill. The dining room was cold (but it was very cold outside) but more heating should have been provided. The wine ..a Morgon..was also cold and when asked to warm it up was told it was warmer in the bottle than the... More

Visited here mid- week for their Champagne afternoon tea and was not disappointed. The room we were sat in was absolutely beautiful with a big roaring fire and great views over the hotel gardens. The afternoon tea itself was very good, with the scones being the highlight which came out lovely and warm. Sandwich and cake selection was also very... More

From the second we arrived this was a brilliant all-round dining experience. The building was very grand and had a lovely manor house feel once inside. We were greeted by the lovely staff and taken to a large room with a roaring fire and comfy sofas. Here we ordered some cocktails and were offered the menus. The staff were very... More

Beautiful hotel with warm, welcoming lounges, great staff and luxurious rooms some of which overlook the award-winning gardens. Dinner and breakfast were superb in the Michelin-starred dining room. We'll be back!

We had a family lunch as a birthday celebration but were disappointed. It was chilly and there simply wasn't enough to eat without making sure that all breads were consumed. We live locally and won't return.

Booked the Adam Simmonds special lunch event and had great expectations, but what a let down. We were shown into the drawing room at 12 noon where all the sofas had been pushed against the wall. Description
The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "
