Best restaurant in the area

This place has never been a disappointment. The reason I say they are the best is more for value for money, the amount of food I and my girlfriend ordered could have been twice as much and I still would have thought that it was money well spent. Most places with a comparable price range are by far inferior and anywhere which may have slightly nicer food will easily been twice as expensive. In terms of value for money, Miso is the best restaurant for miles around

Super Japanese food

We go to Miso quite often as it is super food with excellent service. The menu changes so you get to try new things and everything has always been top notch and at a good price too. We've never been disappointed nor have the people we've taken with us. I just wish they did delivery as well!

Best Japanese food

We went to miso as a group of 10 to celebrate my birthday. Staffs were so lovely and attentive, not one of us were disappointed by the food. The roast pork bento and sushi platter are highly recommend. We will be back again very soon and keep up the good work.

Little piece of Japan hidden in stoke❤️

I have been coming to or ordering from miso for last 6 years! The food has always been to perfection! Today I visited the newly referbished restaurant after nearly 3 years of the restaurant been closed. The decore makes you feel like your in a boutique restaurant of Japan, with all the authentic touches they have done. The food again was amazing. We always start with pumpkin kerokes, with side order of sushi 🍣 which was flavoursome and beautifully ptesented. The ramen was packed with flavour, and definatley what was needed on a cold like tonight! The waiter was very polite and helpful, and his uniform fitted the whole experience, the food service was 10/10. I tried sake rice wine for first time, I would also recommend this, but when it's warm! It definatley had a kick! The only minus and this is only small, is that they didn't have their plum wine on the menu 😞 as it's so sweet and gorgeous to drink! The owner assured me it would be back soon😊 so I will definatley be returning to sample some more delights that Miso has to offer on their menu!

Best Japanese restaurant in West Midlands

Have visited today the restaurant for the first time thanks to the nice reviews. We didn't go wrong! Excellent customer service and food. We really liked takoyaki, gyoza and chicken ramen. We didn't really liked okonomiyaki and duck ramen (the duck burny taste, not good at all). The dorayaki was good but too expensive (3.50£ seriously?!?). However we really recommend this place but still some food to improve.

Great food

The place is a bit quirky, basic table and chairs. However, the staff were very helpful and the food was super tasty. My son loves Japanese food and we recently found Miso’s in Stoke, can’t believe we have not been before.. Good selection of foods and they do a special most days, including Saturdays. Making it good value. Will be returning again and would recommend it.

Japan in stoke

The only Japanese pls e in stoke on Trent and my first visit with my friend Caroline. The font is not terribly inviting it feels a bit of a weird adventure when heading up the steps.. We were greeted warmly. We shared starters tempura prawns and the pumpkin Crockett both were hot and fresh, we both chose bento boxes 🍱 I have duck which we cooked to perfection my only issue was the level of salt in the black bean sauce but it was very nice all the same. We didn’t try a pud as we were full to bursting. The restaurant was very busy and I would recommend booking. This place is certainly worth a visit.

Ramen Bowls at Miso Restaurant

We had the Ramen Bowls at this venue. I had the grilled chicken teriyaki and my partner had the veggie gyoza. First thing to say is both the ramen bowls were big and bigger than Wagamama bowls! The portions you get here are bigger than Wagamama portions! My grilled chicken was a generous portion and bigger than what you get at Wagamama. However, the meat was not as luscious and tender as the chicken you get at Wagamama. My partner said she liked the veggie gyoza and all the other vegetables and noodles in her bowl . I also liked all the vegetables and noodles in my bowl and I also enjoyed the tea-stained egg! We both agreed that the broth in both bowls was NOT sufficiently full of flavour and we had to add extras like chilli pepper and soy sauce to boost the flavour!! If anything the chicken broth at this venue was better than the veggie broth. The broth you get at Wagamama is better in terms of flavour and you also get pak choi in you bowl at Wagamama but not here. To sum up, the portions in the ramen bowls here are large, but we prefer quality over quantity. Our rating for this restaurant is Good but NOT Excellent. Compared with Wagamama, prices here are about the same. On balance we prefer the ramen bowls at Wagamama.

Outstanding food

The food here was AMAZING! We had sushi, bento boxes as well as the pork ramen and it was all delicious. The area where the restaurant isn’t exactly beautiful but once you go upstairs the restaurant is really cute and the service was outstanding. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return if we’re in the area.

I had an incredible dining experience at Miso Japanese Restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we felt right at home. I’ll admit, if I had seen the restaurant from the outside before, I probably would’ve driven past, but I’m so glad I decided to pop in. It’s a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Fantastic little restaurant :)

Came for a date night for me and my girlfriend and had a fantastic time. The lady who served who us extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I can’t recommend Miso enough for the authentic Japanese experience and can’t wait to return.

My 6 year old daughter wanted to move in to this place

It's like having dinner made by your Japanese nan. My 6 y.o. daughter wanted to go to a Japanese restaurant for her birthday. The place looks modest, but it makes up for it with immersion. I've had Misu soup and fried Tofu. My daughter had salmon sushi, same as my wife and the other daughter had soft shell crab sushi. This was the best sushi they've ever had - their words. The younger one said - we should move in to this place. The lady serving us made us feel at home. Very kind and polite. She also gave my daughter a pair of chopsticks for her birthday, which she was very pleased with. We will definitely be going there again. I can't recommend the place enough.

Most amazing food

Been coming here for several years now for celebrations/anniversaries/valentines etc. The food is incredible and absolutely blows away all other Japanese restaurants we’ve ever tried - definitely worth the money! In particular we would recommend the Roast Duck Ramen. We do miss being able to eat downstairs as the wall decorations were exceptionally beautiful and made the experience 6 stars, but in any case we 100% recommend Miso as either a takeaway or outing!

A lovely little piece of Japan in old Stoke

A wonderful Japanese restaurant that always makes me feel welcome, the staff are faultless and very polite but the food is the really star of the show for Miso, I've tried most of the menu but the Ramen bowls are my favourite with a massive portion of noodles, broth, veggies and meat coming together in a dish that'll make your taste buds sing and your belly full for hours. Don't miss out on Stoke's little piece of Japan! 5 Stars!

Wonderful in every way.

We usually go to Wagamommas but decided to try something less commercial. The lady serving was lovely and made us feel welcome. We had starters, mains and little un had desert. All of the food was hot, really tasty and fresh with good portion sizes. The chicken in the ramen was the best chicken I have ever had in my life. We will definitely go back, the food is just better.
