Our experience at the Angel Eaterie (sic) can only be described as dreadful. The Chef should be ashamed to serve meals of such low quality. indeed we had to send back our starter because it was not possible to eat. The steaks at £30 plus...More

There is nothing much to say about this restaurant except "average" in everything. Seating, service, starters and main dish, all average. Quality of the food, ingredients and cook, all average. You feel like missing something in the taste, but failed to know what!

The Angel has long been our favourite as it's a lovely building with a relaxed atmosphere but it's fair to say until recently it's had a dip in form. Charlie (the Manager) has returned after a couple of years away and he's working his magic...More

Description
The Angel Eaterie has many admirers and is a popular destination for Suffolk locals. The art filled dining room providing a gallery for the creative talents of the kitchen. The dishes are modern and predominantly British but, the Head Chef continually surprises with a curious twist of something deliciously different. Fresh local produce is sourced from surrounding market gardeners and pheasant, venison or fish will always depend on what's available for the menu that day. The breads baked in house are testament to the care taken to achieve that special taste; dip into the olive oil then take your pick of the 30 varieties of quality wines all served by the glass and wait for further temptations. The Angel Eaterie is open all day for food & drink.
