I called in as I was visiting lavenham for the day and I was very glad I did! I was met with a very warm welcome, a delicious slice of cake and great coffee. The wool is high quality, the gifts available to buy are interesting and suited for a wide range of budgets. I bought a few balls of... More

I was visiting Lavenham with a group of ladies for my mum's birthday. Having done my research, I was aware of Cafe Knit and knowing we had keen knitters in the group, decided I'd definitely recommend it as the first port of call for a coffee on our arrival. It's quite small, 7 of us took up over half the... More

What a delightful place to visit, came cross this beautiful cafe/shop quite unexpectedly and only went in as they had a dog friendly atmosphere inside the shop having a couple of tables in the window where you could have your dog with you, which we had as were visiting the lavenham Christmas fair, although very busy the couple who run... Nice concept but the knitting didn't inspire and it was too small to cater for more than five or six at a time in the whole place.

What I loved was all the knitting and wools, and other interesting little nic back around. What a delightful idea to combine knitting and coffee, and homemade cake to boot! Charming!

My friend and I had heard of the cafe so decided to give it a visit .That cakes and coffee were good but felt that the lady serving was more interested in the internet than her customers !

This establishment combines everything you need for knitting with a small but excellent cafe. The cappocino and latte and panninis wre perfect and well priced v NT Tea room in Lavenam. A delighful surprise find in the beautiful historic town of Lavenham.

Lovely shop and cafe. Not particularly interested in knitting but the shop/cafe is a great concept. Very friendly and warm atmosphere, delicious cakes and great hot drinks (of which there are a good range). Wish we'd gone there for lunch to sample the panini - will definitely be going back. Might even be persuaded to try knitting!
