Fantastic venue. The decor is good and the menu is great. Excellent choice of dishes with a specials board as well. Staff are very hard working polite and serve with a smile. Amazing prices - good quality food.
Lovely pub near Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo.Very slow service and a long wait between starter and main course. Food nice.would return but not on a Saturday.
I had not been here for a year or so based on my very average food experiences in the past so I thought it was time to try it again. Mistake! Nothing has improved, just the prices have gone up. All the food is average...quality at best, desserts pricey and, honestly, barely average. There are lots of other places to eat in Woodbridge and Melton and i would definiteley advise try those first.More
Service was amazing. There was one lovely lady called Lindsey, she mad the experience 10/10 she was really kind and looked after us. The food we had was outstanding, the duck breast was cooked to perfection and the 8oz steak was also cooked perfectly.
We visited on the last Monday in January with 2 friends when the 50% off food offer was running. We were welcomed warmly but the service overall was disappointing and the food left a little to be desired. Everything was OK but only OK and...having visited here before I think the service and food quality have declined. I had the gluten free beefburger (with cheese) the burger bun was rock solid and inedible and the cheese was non existent - when I pointed this out to our server and the manager it was acknowledged but shrugged off. Whilst I understand they were running a promotion and very busy this does not mean the service of food should be substandard should it? We have not been back since (in February) but we have visited the Wilford Bridge 5 times since and had brilliant service and excellent food each time - and they have had the promotion running and been very busy. I am not sure why we would go back to The Coach & Horses nowMore
The restaurant was extremely busy, yet the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was great, and the sticky toffee pudding, which was actually my husband's, was the best I've ever tasted! The prices were more than reasonable, especially the set menu prices, and we...will certainly visit again. We will ensure we recommend to family and friends too.More
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was good, with the food being ordered and delivered promptly. Having visited two of the other inns in the ‘chain’ the previous two nights, we were a bit disappointed by the food in comparison.
I cannot fault the food. The steak and chicken were so tender. However it felt like there were a lot of people on shift but it lacked customer attentiveness. I had to ask for another drink, to order dessert and for the bill. Even after...I’d asked for the bill, nobody came to take payment. 3 blokes at the bar. We were the only remaining diners so I can’t say it was because they were busy. They kept chatting to the blokes at the bar and neglected their last remaining diners. So disappointing after a lovely meal and a fantastic initial welcome from a lady called Aubrey. I’m guessing she finished her shift because once we’d left ordered we didn’t see her again. She was, however so attentiveMore
Excellent food and service every single time we have been here. One of my favourite places to go whenever we are in the area.
50% off food, who can refuse that. So lucky to have booked a table and bringing my dog. The place was buzzing with customers and all food on offer in great portion and quality was spot on. Staff are bubbly and welcoming, they are literally...running off their feet but still have a smile on their faces. Well done for the offer and no doubt will come back again very soon. Hopefully another offer will be on too 😜More
Fantastic service and food, we came for the offer that was running, our table was booked for 6.30 and the restaurant was already full. Can’t fault the food we had and the service we received.
Diabolical service that was so slow despite the place being less than half full. Cleaning tables more important than customers! The food was lukewarm and the beef I had was as strong as the rosti it came with. It would have been useful to have...been given a steak knife to cut the food. After 1 hour 30 minutes and no sign of anyone wanting to take our dessert and coffee order we left DISGUSTED and wishing we had not wasted a Valentine's meal there! Thanks for upsetting my wife!More
This pub is the best pub in Suffolk! Every time I come back to Suffolk (when I am visiting family) I always ask to go here. The food is incredible! Such a vast amount of choice every time you go (the steak and ale suet...pudding cannot be beaten - no wonder this always remains on the menu) The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They always go above and beyond! One visit my mum thought that she had lost her phone and the wonderful Aubrey and the pub manager went outside in the pitch black with a torch and searched every inch of the car park for her. Out of all the Deben Inns this is by far the best! Love love love this place and will keep returning whenever I can 😊More
My friend recommended me this pub and we went for dinner , it was really busy as they had some half price offer also in January , we sat near the fireplace which was amazing , I had the Nachos as a started and suet...pudding , food was fresh .Pub was buzzing and we noticed the car park was full. Staff was very helpful and we were served by the oriental lady who was very friendly annd welcoming , kept asking if everything was ok with the food . I would definitely go back .More
