Ate here for the first time on Friday. We were served by a waitress with short hair and a nose piercing. Despite how bust it was she was an absolute delight and lovely to talk to! The food was delicious as well! All round lovely experience.

Super food. We really like the biryani and the garlic nan bread as an accompaniment. Service was quick and efficient. Prices are reasonable at lunch time.

Been to Dabbawal a few times and and loved the food but my last visit with friends on a November Saturday night was a bit disappointing. We waited a long time between ordering and service and when the mains arrived one of the meals was wrong. Instead of replacing the meal (it would have taken too long) they brought the... More

Came here with family and a friend. The food was amazing, staff very friendly and service was good. We all enjoyed our food, I had chicken madras different from what I've had before but it was tasty! Reasonable price too. Would recommend a visit

Another Indian restaurant. The food was nice, not wonderful. All four of us had the chefs surprise menu. The portions for four people were inadequate. I fail to see why this is called street food. It actually is not. It is just another Indian restaurant. The exceptional aspect is the price, I think the menu is overpriced.

Nine of us at Dabbawal last night, all gave it 10/10. Eaten here quite a few times in different size parties, never had a complaint in any group I've been with. The food is always fresh cooked and very tasty and the staff are canny.... Can get a bit lively on a weekend but you just have to go with... More

We've been here a few times for business lunches/dinners and I have to say it's amazing! I'm a foodie and always cautious when it comes to visiting Asian restaurants but everything i tried was delicious and had authentic flavours - would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Newcastle whether it's social or business. P.S. They also serve "king cobra's"... More

The resataurant had no available tables for the evning , but I decided to have dinner at the bartable . A very wise decision I tried two curries and a starter. Everything was just bfantastic , must be the best in Newcastle.

This place is fun and I highly recommend the 'tapas' style dishes especially if you share them between you. We went there as I booked a Friday night meal there for my boyfriends birthday treat before heading to the stand comedy club which is only a 2 min walk away. We will definitely be going back!

Whent on Sunday with my partner what a mistake. They advertising street food to me this should be tasty simple fresh food. Never seen chicken rogan josh with mushroom pilau on a street stall. This is just a bad Indian restaurant trading under false pretence. Ordered king prawns to start. How bad to be served 3 tiny prawns that had... More
