We've been meaning to visit dabbawal for a long time but never got round to it. Having just ran the great north run I really fancied a curry and this was the first place we thought of. The menu has lots of different dishes to...More

We went at around 5 PM on Friday night without reservation and were told in advance we have to leave by 6:30 PM to make room for another reserved group, which is fair. The waiter was very helpful for helping us chose among the many...More

Had the chefs suprise and wasn’t disappointed, the food was amazing and it was nice not knowing what you were going to get! Very reasonable prices as well. Definitely worth a visit. Ideally situated in the town centre. Will be going back very soon.

Indian street food no matter what you choose is always exceptional , and if you want a curry plenty of choice, but the street food choices especially if in a larger curry are the best

We tried here today after reading that it was either one of the top 10 Newcastle restaurants - or at least being considered for that. I am not sure how? As far as Indian restaurants go it's quite tasty but very small portions (mains the...More

The Indian food was fantastic, a good selection of dishes in the set selection, a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes all with fantastic flavour and spices. I would definitely recommend as one of the tastiest in Newcastle and keep coming back again and again.

We are vegetarian and there were plenty of non-meat dishes. I don't know about the meat.
