It took a bit of finding as I didn't know this part of Newcastle but it's only a few minutes from the bottom of Northumberland St. Amazing coffee, laid back staff, and awesome Nutella Brownies big enough for two. Give it a go!

Cozy little cafe tucked away under a strange little shop, difficult to locate. Service was fine, staff were ok, although not particularly friendly. The decor is quite quaint. Coffee was nice, but not hot enough. Food was good. Nice soup and a lovely goats cheese and sun dried tomato sandwich.

A perfectly situated cafe, unfortunately let down poor customer service. Our group ended up waiting quite a while for food and was disappointed by the small portion sizes. The food itself did taste good but was overpriced (Sandwiches were £4.50). Great place for coffee but if you want a good lunch stick to Frankie and Tony's or Zapatista.

Gorgeous gorgeous coffee. You know when you are drinking good non-commercial coffee and thats what they serve here. Been meaning to come here for ages and so glad i made the trip. Its a bit confusing trying to find it but thats all part of the fun. Also had sweet potato chilli and coconut soup with delicious (homemade?) toast. Found... More

Love this cute little basement coffeetery! What's not to like? Warm, cozy, friendly, ouseburn coffee company beans, delicious cake A must go age for refreshment while shopping in Newcastle. The curiosity shop above is a good place to browse for Xmas presents too!

Place is such a hidden gem, fits in great with the shop upstairs, great cup of coffee too. Staff quite rude though, asked how to pronounce the type of coffee and was told that I was saying it completely wrong and just to call it no.1

I love this place! A real hidden gem in the city centre, tucked away from the crowds. Best coffee available in Newcastle, in my opinion. Can't wait for the new one to open!

Been here a couple of times, the coffee is great, the cakes are great, but the man serving could certainly cheer up a little. Worth a visit.

Multi-award winning small coffee shop. The focus is definitely on coffee but we also offer a range of sandwiches, salads, soups and cakes depending on the season. We've built a reputation for doing some of the best coffee in the region whilst also working very hard to make your visit enjoyable with great service too.
