Not your typical weatherspoon establishment, good riverside views and normal low prices complemented by nice decor and drinks range. Background music removes the regular spoons issue of that constant din of talking without being intrusive.

The Quayside provides a good range of options for breakfast when visiting the Newcaste Quayside. The Large Breakfast is very good value and will satisfy most people. Refillable coffees are available as well as all the other beverage options. An enjoyable location with the option to sit outside and watch the visitors and river in summer.

Recently stayed in the Copthorne so popped in here as its almost next door for drinks and lunch. Excellent value and staff are very friendly. It's right on the river, sadly too cold for this time of year but I would imagine when the sun is shining its a great venue. For value for money you cannot beat Wetherspoons for... More

Called in on a sunny day last June and enjoyed a bottle of wine outside overlooking the Tyne. Great value for money!

This 'Spoons' is situated along side the River Tyne and has seating areas to the front and rear. It has a good size eating area upstairs with the usual Wetherspoons food menu reasonable food at a reasonable price with adequate portions, not a criticism.I use this chain on a fairly regular basis, so I know what to expect. This is... More

To be fair the Three Swans is ok as well, but dropped in here to meet up with some friends last week it struck me how good the location is. The courtyard at the back and the outside area next to the river are arguably the best outside areas in Newcastle. The range and price of drinks are very good,... More

Great bar and atmosphere but I stood 10 minutes waiting to get served at 3.15 on a Saturday as the barmaid served 2 people that I was in front off!!! When I asked her if she was taking the mick out of me she informed me the other people were there first! She knew fine well they were not and... More
