Husband and I wandered in here for a drink to celebrate our anniversary, we were a bit worried that we wouldn't be able to get a seat, but luckily managed to get one! The pub is absolutely charming, with beams, gallstones, standards and everything you...More

We had a great pub lunch here and I highly recommend it if you like a good quality, friendly traditional pub but one where they go the extra mile to make it a bit special. We had simple food - fish finger sandwiches - but...More

We stopped at the Old Thatch Tavern for lunch as we were walking around Stratford Upon Avon and had a lovely lunch. We were there in mid-November when things were quiet, but the place was still bustling. The place was charming, very much with the...More

Partner and I visited here on our way back to hotel. Disappointing veggie options......had the veggie curry which tasted like a ready meal from a local supermarket. Had a choice of this or a veggie tart.....come on, I'm sure you can do better than that?...More

This place offers fabulous tradition food and is cooked to perfection. The venue is full of character. The staff are so helpful and lovely. Price is very reasonable. Came away feeling very satisfied and content. well done guys!

We dropped in for lunch and ordered a variety of dishes. All were standard enough fare, but we were generally underwhelmed. The Thai red curry was only Thai in name - more like a standard chicken curry (no coconut milk and served with long-grain rice)....More

We called in here for a drink on the way back to the train station. From the outside the building is very attractive. The interior however disappoints. On the busy Saturday afternoon we visited the cramped bar area was in a very poor state. There...More

I'm not sure of your motive behind writing this review but even at our most busy I have never found my pub to be in the state that you are suggesting. "Cramped" you say- well it is a small bar and yet to your horror...More

Had lunch here. Very good food and service and good beer. Pub is popular so you should book especially if you have a big group.

Lovely proper Sunday lunch. Freshly prepared, piping hot and plenty of it. Every accompaniment you might want. Friendly efficient staff. And all for a good price. Highly recommended.

Yes, if you want a seat in the 2 small dining rooms. We were fortunate that when we came in they put 2 tables together in the small bar for the 6 of us (we actually liked it better than the dining rooms)
