My Children visited last summer and recommended this Place (believe you me they are foodies) . They took me for a Birthday Lunch. I was impressed by the warm ambience , comfort and friendly staff. The Pizza's are freshly made and the Sweet Potato and Pepper soup was wonderful. This is definitely a place to visit again It is also... More

I can imagine this place being a delight for dog owners, with a bowl of dog treats awaiting them as they arrive. The huge conservatory is great for dogs. Some even get to sit on the sofa in front of the log burner. This canal side pub is very friendly and welcoming. The menu is simple but good and the... More

With a welcoming "hello" to us and our bichon dog the staff were friendly and asked straight away if we would like to eat including Louie (our dog). Although there wasn't a free table for another half hour we decided to eat in the bar area. They brought Louie's dinner straight away while we looked at the menu which had... More

Booked a table for 10 to celebrate my birthday so was hoping the good reviews were accurate. They were. We were made to feel so welcome and the management even gave me a birthday card. The food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the wine was also good. We loved the fact that we could bring our dog and... More

We had a good walk along the canal near Lapworh in Warwickshire and stopped for a light lunch at the Tom O'The Wood pub. Friendly, even if you come along with a dog, cosy and with a good range of pub food. We choose to sit by one of the windows, near the log fire, to watch the world gp... More

Visited here with family for late Sunday roast beef. My partner had the fish and chips and as nice as it was, afterwards, she was disappointed that she too didn't choose the roast beef. It was a perfect size, the seasonal veg and medium rare beef were cooked perfectly. And wow, that red wine jus/gravy finished it off beautifully. A... More

Called in for lunch. Great welcome at the door. warm friendly atmosphere. Order taken in good time, little wait for the meal, which is always a great sign its going to be fresh, particularly when the place is not busy! I am sure it gets very busy at times, but comfortable and I believe booking in advance is a must,... More

As an ex-publican I like to think I know my pubs and what sets great ones apart from the rest, and Tom o the Wood is genuinely outstanding on all levels. My Wife and I had the very best pub meals we've had in a long time, and you could tell that the produce was carefully sourced. The team were... More
