Cafe Soya is my family's go to place for oriental food. We go there for birthdays, Saturday nights out and for simple lunch. Atmosphere is almost always good-not too loud and not deathly quiet. Food has taste that goes beyond sweet and sour. I love their squid!

I had never eaten here before but after prowling through all the Thai, Asian and Vietnamese restaurants available for delivery on delivery, decided on this one. I was sort of just expecting just your bog standard chinese, but the food by far exceeded any expectations I might have had! Absolutely beautiful coconut rice, and plenty of meat with it too.... So we came here again, food is good but the service probably the worst ever! We asked for wine cooler 2 times, after finishing the bottle of wine the cooler arrive! Sorry but it to late now! We waited for 40 minutes for mains after starters, oh we had to ask for our main cause they have actually forgot about... More

This is located in a brilliant location, parking not far away and landmarks to enjoy before or after you eat. Food wise, there's nothing to complain about for me. Very well priced with ample portions given. The food is delivered quickly and very rarely has there been an issue with the food not being fresh. The customer service though, ranges... More

This restaurant has great Vietnamese and Chinese dishes suitable for vegetarians and most are vegan. It's also great value for money as a starter platter and 3 massive mains came to around £35

Saturday lunch time visit 2 adults and 1 child. We arrived and there was 3 tables taken. As we sat there it slowly filled up. Every table was taken. 2 adults meals came out first 10 minutes later the children's meal came out. This is NOT on. No restaurant should serve meals unless all meals are ready. Regardless if the... Seemed like a nice place but there was no excuse for a wopping 2hr waiting time. No excuse either that we were a larger group because we ordered days in advance, so it was even worse when they told me my oredr wasnt available. 5 of our group had to leave before the food even arrived. Further to that about... More

Husband and I were staying next door at the Novotel and wanted a quick meal before a concert at Symphony Hall. Andrew looked after us wonderfully ensuring we got prompt service. The food was prepared quickly and excellent quality. I wish we had more time to properly enjoy the menu rather than just quickly grabbing a main course. Excellent value... More

I was in Birmingham for a trade fair last week, and a friend of mine recommended visiting Cafe Soya for a meal as it is very vegan friendly. Our hotel was only a few hundred yards away in Upper Dean street, and so I could not resist, and the place was heaving....we were told that there would be a 45... More

I had heard a lot of good things about cafe soya. We found that it under delivered. Food didn't taste very fresh. The fruit bubble tea tasted like the over sweet artificial milkshakes I had as a kid. The toilets were pretty dirty and the sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while.
