It’s a shame people don’t give a chance to this place, it’s absolutely brilliant! The food is fresh, prepared there, very very tasty, and cheap! I will definitely include this little hidden restaurant in my favourite list because the food and the service were just...More

Each time we've visited Bohemia it's always impressive. This restaurant is underrated and is a hidden gem. Considering that in Selly Oak most restaurants are part of a chain, Bohemia is a refreshing change. The cocktails are also very good.

Traditional prawn cocktail as a starter followed by lamb shank as a main. No-nonsense excellent cooking. Definitely worth another visit.

We arrived at 7.00 p.m. for a pre-booked meal - the service can only be described as awful - for a 2 course meal we finally finished at 10.00 p.m. The waitress did her best but the problem was in kitchen - service was slow...More

We dined here after reading reviews on here, which were very useful. It's not the most beautiful building to look at from the outside but the interior decoration - bare brick walls, clean wood and some very nice art (which is also for sale) is...More

Visited this quant and modern restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Each course was well presented, tasty and generous in portion. Even when I requested an alternative due to allergies the chef was happy to appease. The food was of very good quality and although there...More

Bohemia is a Modern British restaurant situated in Birmingham’s buzzing Selly Oak area. This exciting addition to Birmingham's restaurant scene adds a continental feel to the area. It blends a bistro cost with 5-star/fine dinning food quality. Open almost all day, you can pop in for an afternoon lite bite with fair trade coffee or enjoy the more formal evening air at this smart and contemporary establishment. True to its name, Bohemia offers wonderfully relaxed and chilled vibe, and diners are made to feel instantly at ease. Head Chef Ross has created an exciting Modern British menu that changes monthly so you have a new array of choices upon every return visit. Diners love dishes like herb sausage, black pudding and duck egg terrine with plum tomato chutney; poached cod fillet with garlic, chilli and coriander butter; slow-cooked rib of beef with chorizo, dauphinoise potatoes; and Pimms and lemonade jelly with homemade strawberry clotted cream ice cream. Bohemia runs regular jazz nights, acoustic nights and comedy evenings.
