I have been to The Karczma many times now, with a work group as well as friends and family. I highly recommend it. A good range of lovely food, and relatively inexpensive.

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2017 via mobile

What a great restaurant hidden in the depths of the dark and gloomy streets of digbeth. Went out with friends on a saturday night, one of which is polish and had eaten there before. I love polish food and having been to other polish restaurants, this is by far the best. A little pricier than others but I thought it... More

I've walked past this little joint countless times, so many times. You guys know the deal, there's that one restaurant you walk past on a regular basis without going in, so many goddamn times the very act of doing so has become a fixture of your reality. Well my girlfriend & I finally went in one rainy Tuesday night, and... More

I have now been to the Karczma twice (first with my boyfriend and then with some friends) and I can say that this is one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. The place is super cosy, with hand painted walls and a decoration that is just delightful. The food is fairly varied and it's flavour is very good. I would... More

First went here with a Polish friend who wanted to get a taste of her homeland, and both fell in love with the place straight away! We now go there as often as possible and even buy gift vouchers for our friends, despite it being an hour's drive from home! Naturally it's very popular with Polish customers, all the staff... More

The Karczma - lovely Polish gem is absolutely spectacular!!! A great taste of Polish food and hospitality!!! The food was to die for! The Karczma would definitely win the competition with my mums culinary exhibitions! and I must admit we did have Polish Slivovitz vodka- A Polish plum brandy distilled from fresh plums and fortified with the addition of neutral... My partner and I had been wanting to come here a while after seeing it feature on so many of the "to go to places in brum" lists and so had already browsed the menu once or twice intrigued about what we would order. We were a little early arriving so we were offered seats at the bar and to... More

Me and my friends booked the only available slot/table on Saturday evening at about 21:30,when we arrived our table wasn't ready and the waiter told us the kitchen will be closed soon and he was very unhappy and unpleasant that we were actually there.. Although we received our food which was delicious, life music till 10pm was beautiful. Definitely recommend the... More

Friendly welcome to a generous and well cooked meal. Music supplied by a live band who played traditional Polish tunes. We will be returning on our next visit to Birmingham. Traditional Polish menu with some interesting items served quickly by friendly and attentive staff.

Description
The Karczma is a traditional Polish restaurant, bar and grill located in the heart of Birmingham, just 5min walk from both the Bull Ring Shopping Centre and Moor Street Rail Station.

Restaurant is decorated in the style of an old Polish country cottage seating 85 people across 2 rooms.

The menu is designed to reflect a homely, hearty and rustic food that's quintessentially Polish, and prepared using only the very best quality ingredients.

The menu contains numerous Polish classics including Pierogi (stuffed dumplings), Berszcz (Beetroot soup), Pickled Herring, Zurek (Pickled Rye Flour Soup) served from a hollowed out loaf of bread, as well as a whole host of grilled meats and fish.

We wish you a pleasant stay and Enjoy !!!
