Have been here twice now, once with a group of friends and we went back again last week with a couple. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the young man serving us was very friendly and attentive at the right times. He was very helpful with our meal choices and even asked the chef to do one of the... More

Excellent meal & service at Cote Restuarant in the Mailbox. The prawn starter was excellent & the main course of a 'spiced up' Calzone was top drawer with plenty of filling & spice. Overall the meal was enjoyed by all guests and my Irish relatives are now searching for a Cote Restuarant in Ireland which 'says it all'!

We sat in the spring sunshine overlooking the canal in the heart of Birmingham and had a delicious French meal with some decent French beer. Reasonable city centre prices (£15-ish for a mains) and very good food - my friend had belly pork and was well pleased and I had Breton fish soup which was delicious. Creme caramel was good:... We went to Cotes for breakfast this morning and nothing was too much trouble for Sola who looked after us. The meal was perfectly cooked and served and made a very good start to our day. The music was turned down low, so it that was a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent food and service, well done Cotes and especially Sola.

First class food. Beautifully presented with excellent tastes and textures. The service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. A great range of food and drink, reasonably priced.

We went as we were going to the Birmingham Rep for a musical. We had the 2 course early evening menu. The mains arrived less than 10 minutes. We had smoked haddock permantier and steak frites, chocolate pot and French style apple crumble. The food was well prepared and tasty, very good priced and staff was friendly and helpful. We... I had cheese and mushroom crepes with potato gratin. The serving size was plentiful and delicious couldn't get enough of it... More

So called in for something to eat before seeing a show in Birmingham and as is our way we didn't bother to pre-book - you'll see a pattern forming and I always use this a gauge to how the staff react and we're treated. The staff excelled in the way they quickly checked availability and politely explained that we could... More

With many restaurants so close together you need to provide good food and service to survive. Cote food is always good and here was no exception, the fish parmentier was really nice as was the Pollet grille. Service was first class and the 20% discount for Symphony Hall members makes the prices very reasonable

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities.
Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
