3 of us visited on Valentine's Day - it was very disappointing - as previously we have been several times and enjoyed the food and the experience. However, when my husband booked and reserved they did not tell him it was a set meal at £45.09 per head - our son who was with us has a special diet -... More

We went here for a business lunch time meeting and we were not disappointed. Such an amazing lunch time menu with a great choice. The food was well cooked and presented well. I would personally recommend the thali.

Had a wonderful meal at Itihaas with my wife. Food was very high quality and the puddings in particular are unusual... chocolate samosa! It was however incredibly busy and we had to wait 30 mins for our table while the previous sitting finished. We were left a bit on our own during that time and had to chase to get... More

My friends and I very much enjoyed the high quality atmosphere and extremely well cooked and delicious food. I would highly recommend this as an upmarket but reasonably priced Indian restaurant in Birmingham.

Amazing food. Amazing venue. But the staff are absolutely exceptional. Especially our waiter Saroj who made the whole evening exceptional. I would like the manager to personally read this comment and he be rewarded for his great work. Defo great place to go eat

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and always had the best time! The food is incredible especially the lamb curry, starter platter, chicken tikka...the list goes on! The service is always amazing, everybody who works there is polite and tries their best to ensure you are having a good time. My family decided to go for... More

We ate here last night and it was a great introduction to Birmingham. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. The food arrived promptly and was very tasty. Jacob was a most attentive waitor. We will be back again next time we're in Birmingham.

Visited last week and got placed in the downstairs area. I'm not sure if it was just me but the area smelt really bad. The decor is also very poor, although I could tell effort was made, somehow I felt the essence of grimyness about the place. Overall, I think the service is just as important as the food. Poor... We were at a taste testing session for an upcoming wedding. There are indian restaurants and then there is Itihaas. The food was delicious and the attention given to us by the staff was excellent, special mention to Mohammad as his service skills were impeccable. The decor itself was very classy and deserves a 5 star rating.

To complete the real ambience, behind 300 year old Indian wooden doors is the Tiffin Room which seats 12, complete with a bar, library and your very own dedicated butler!Cuisine in this fine establishment is created by award winning chefs and staff who come from Indian Five-Star Hotel backgrounds. They have a single aim - to be able to deliver the authentic Royal Indian dining experience to its patrons with utmost courtesy and hospitality.
