Ashas is a place that often comes up very favourably in conversation, so I was eager to see the place for myself. The service is really good. Though the staff switched places often, every time there was the same friendly and professional care. We had ordered a 'set' non-vegetarian Christmas meal, but some of us were vegetarian - and these... More

Lovely staff. Cool decor, good atmosphere. This is way overpriced. I have never paid so much for an Indian in my life. The restaurant was booked by friend, I would never pay these prices normally. I'm speaking very honestly. My partner who loves Indian food also said food was nothing special and very average, we get a better Indian if... More

We booked at the last minute on a very busy pre Christmas Saturday, but they were welcoming, friendly and very helpful when ordering. The restaurant is very stylish and comfortable, and the food.....well, it was delicious: quite the best Indian food I've had.

Was recommended Asha's from a local and so glad we managed to eat there. On arrival we were asked if we had booked a table. Unfortunately we hadn't but this wasn't a problem. Asked if we wanted poppadums whilst we looked at the menu. They arrived with dips and were lovely mixture of poppadums. The chicken jalfrezi is one of... More

Managed to get a table just before the evening rush at 7pm. Had a nice meal with a couple of drinks before heading back to the madness of the Xmas markets. Hit the spot, very nice food, not too hot, pleasant staff and the place is massive!

Visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a family birthday and was not left disappointed. The surroundings, service and food was spot on, not cheap but worth every penny if you are celebrating and want something special.

I honestly do not understand the previous reviews and actually believe that people must be intoxicated when eating here and as for award winning,it surely must be the 'other' branches.....please read: Party of 6 checked in swiftly into a 'side' room (all downhill from here) Probably the coldest restaurant I have ever visited (I must point out that I've ate... Staying with friends in the centre of Birmingham they mentioned that Asha's had recently won the 'Best Midland Curry House' so we booked a table. We were not disappointed . We chose the 'President's Platter' as a 4 person starter. Not cheap but absolutely fabulous - all with a curried lobster as the centre piece, massive prawns, succulent chicken, delicate... More

Very busy Saturday evening meal after visiting the cinema. Good service and wonderful food - especially the sea bass main course which was outstanding! Really like this restaurant!

Birmingham now has its very own brimful of Asha right here on Newhall Street. We're not kidding, Asha's is the latest addition to legendary Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle's empire. Following on from the success of restaurants in Kuwait and Dubai this is a place where fans of Indian music and Indian food can combine their passions. The space is large but intimate, decorated in a warm, welcoming style. And if you were concerned about theme-ish menus worry no more, from the fabulous Tandoori kebabs to the unmissable curries you'll be singing the praises of Asha's food all the way home.
