There's nothing better to take the edge off of Lunch with the In-Laws than a good pint (or two) in a great pub. The Black Rabbit is a big venue, next to the river. Great beer on offer, a sizeable and varied menu (that does...More

We had a nice lunch here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat by the river with great views back to Arundel Castle. A typical English Pub with great food.

Took the family and my brother's family to this pub for lunch. Luckily the sun was out and we enjoyed the dining outside with the river Arun as the backdrop. Food was good and service was fine.

Hadn’t been here for years but having gone back, will definitely go more often. Varied menu for both carnivores and veggies and we we well looked after by Abs, our waiter. There’s outdoor seating which would be lovely in the summer; as the weather wasn’t...More

We had the meat pies, they were average and not worth the money charged at lunch time. The pub does have an excellent view of the river.

Three adults had lunch: I had smoked mackerel and beetroot salad that contained perhaps three or four flakes of mackerel, my poor husband went for crab in its shell served with new potatoes and beans. What a disaster that turned out to be! The crab...More

I had pre-booked a table the day before, as I know that The Black Rabbit is extremely popular, and can be very busy even at lunchtimes. Location wise it is pretty much "chocolate box picture" perfect, having superb views of the Arun river and countryside,...More

Purely from the point of view of a vegetarian, not a place to visit. Only two veggie options from an extensive main menu, a burger, and a ‘Mediterranean vegetable stew’, a poorly made pretty tasteless ratatouille type dish. Not acceptable in this day and age!!More

Having visited fairly regularly we were disappointed to find a smaller menu selection. Venue lost sales as there was nothing on the starters listing we fancied, so it was a quick main course and wine. Food, as always great quality and service efficient. Like the...More

Went for diner with friends had been before and was disappointed so was giving it another go. Again they had run out of 1st choice and food was cold and of poor quality with two out of four meals. Don't think we will visit again.More
