Nice place to relax outside with a beer, however if are going to advertise crispy bacon it should be crispy. Ordered a crispy bacon and brie baguette and bacon undercooked and fatty.

We visited the Walnut Tree on a whim, without booking. The pub was fairly busy, but they had room for our party of 6 straight away. We were then shown the menu board - wow! Such variety, which was perfect for our family group of 3 generations; from simple jacket potatoes or baguettes to ribeye steak and chips or pan... More

Okay so we arrived just as they were close to finishing servicing lunch but what a disappointing experience. Stale bread, tasteless sandwiches and chips that tasted like they'd been fried in old fish oil! Best part of the visit was a refreshing pint of San Miguel but at £5.10 it should be good... 2 draught lemonades for the kids at... More

Looks fantastic from the outside....is it part of a chain? The beer was brilliant ....but I didn't warm to this pub...it didn't seem to be part of the community .... and noone seemed to be enjoying themselves...

No it is not part of a chain. We have been part of the local community for some 20 years and always strive to make people welcome and to enjoy themselves. More

I will start my review by saying that we've been here before, at which time it'd been great, so we, nevertheless, decided to come again. On arrival, it looked like it does normally, quite calm, with a few waiters/waitresses waiting to serve us. Our waiter was OK and he took us to our table. We ordered our drinks and had... More

Popped in for lunch as working in the local area, was delighted at how friendly and helpful the staff were, even more so when the food arrived prepared perfectly. Lovely setting, out of the way and reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended

We stumbled upon this pub on our way back from Goodwood. Friendly staff, big menu choice, well presented food and reasonably priced.

Visited here for Mother's Day yesterday. Come here quite often and it's usually really good but this time it was highly disappointing. We were seated at a table right by the window, which on such a sunny day, was lovely! Starters were great and very prompt but we waited an hour and a 15 minutes for our roasts! When I... More
