We haven't been here for a while but fancied a beer and some of the great food they serve here. We chose from the English tapas section and felt rather greedy when they arrived because one serving each would have been enough! They were all lovely ( try the prawns in garlic butter and the enormous scotch eggs with liquidy... More

Had not been to this pub for about 15 years and will not be returning for another fifteen ! My cousin booked a table for eight in person, not on the phone. We arrived and were told that no booking had been made. Staff were not interested, simply pushed three tiny round tables together and informed us that was all... More

If you are in the area and fancy a taste of what a good pub should be like, pop in. This is very much a locals pub and it does get busy, its dog friendly and loads of choice for beer. Warming open fire in the winter. There is a separate dinning area which is great as sometimes its nice... More

This was central to meet..there were quite a few children as well as adults..the staff and manager were very welcoming and helpful..seating was reserved for us..the food was very good and not expensive...there was a car park just a short walk away..perfect venue...

Found the pub by chance while killing time before a flight from Heathrow. Was immediately made welcome by the lady serving behind the bar. Friendly atmosphere, clearly a few locals but as a stranger I felt perfectly comfortable. I had the Plouighmans mentioned negatively in another recent review and it was perfectly serviceable - exactly what I expected. Didn't try... More

We visited here after lunchtime on the Bank Holiday Tuesday after Christmas and it was pretty quiet so easily found a seat in one of the side areas of the main bar. I opted for a pint of the Christmas Cracker, not sure of brewery, but it was a decent pint. Food wasn’t being served all day so arriving around... More

Went for lunch and the soup came with white sliced bread from the supermarket. The ploughmans bread was tasteless as well. Not sure if there was anyone in the kitchen. No wonder it was empty.
