I don't normally take my wife out for a breakfast as she's a vegetarian in as much she won't eat red meat products hence as I like a Full English sitting sharing a table with somebody munching muesli kinda dampens the enjoyment................however Ellendens Farmhouse Kitchen offers a full vegetarian "English" breakfast, we just had to give it a try. It's straight forward to find, parking is easy and access to the restaurant is just a walk in! "Simples". The staff were immediately attentive with cheery smiles, a table was was selected for us with apologise's there will be a little longer wait than usual as they were particularly busy at that precise moment. this was not a problem forewarned is a luxury these days and beside ultra busy in my mind means a well liked and trusted establishment. We took no time to place our order at the counter 1 full and 1- vegetarian plus tea for two. The tea arrived within 5 or 6 minuets, I managed to drink 1 cup of tea and was just helping myself to a second when the food was served...........uh! I thought we were going to have to wait? Oh boy! what a feast for the eyes, presentation alone set my juices flowing and the wife's looked a pretty good replica too, both meals were steaming hot Wow! what a plateful. It was beautifully cooked, all tastes were locked in, and whats more it looked like the photos you see on line, too maintain consistency is truly a remarkable feat, this meal had been prepared, cooked and served with pride. It was a magnificent feast, probably one of the most memorable English breakfast meals I've ever had, and I've tried many from all over the UK. Many thanks to the attentive staff, many thanks to the (I assume) owner for her individual attention and many thanks for providing this all at a very reasonable cost. Without doubt we will return as the rest of your menu looks equally mouth watering.

Apparently, everybody's favourite place around here, but this was our first visit. Nice selection of breakfast served until 12pm. The small breakfast is a little small, but you do have the option to add individual items for 50p to 75p and build your own which is nice. The big breakfast is excellent value for money, but far too large for me. The sausages and bacon are gorgeous, and the bread is proper crusty bread. The eggs are fried as standard, and strangely, they charge extra for poached (50p) and scrambled (75p). I asked for a pot of tea for one with my breakfast, which comes in a large pot, enough for around 6 of their lovely teacups. But, I was finding it a bit strong so went to remove the teabag, only to find 4 in the pot 😂. My husband had the cappuccino which was heavenly! I'd like to see a few more other options such as avacado and poached egg on the menu. The place is lovely, comfy chairs, lots of tables and a great outdoor space too with their chickens and horses. Lots of parking space and a shop full of local produce, ales, ciders and meats.

Perfect. 5 stars It was our first time at Ellendens on New Year’s Eve. Read the reviews and fancied giving it a go. We are quite fussy eaters, we like quality food that’s tasty. We had a large breakfast each, and it was large and lovely. Too much for me but my husband ate the lot and he is very fussy about sausages but he loved those ones. My daughter had the pulled pork baguette and she ate it all too. The waitress was fabulous, so polite and friendly. A lot of people could learn something from her. We will definitely be returning.

Attached to the excellent farm shop, which sells meat produced from their own animals, is the extremely popular Farmhouse Kitchen. If wanting to visit, on Saturday especially, it is a good idea to reserve a table. Breakfast rolls, and the small or large English breakfast, have all been superb every time we have visited - free range eggs, and top quality bacon, lovely bread. The cafe on Saturday was full, and buzzing. We had to wait for a table but it was worth it. The lady in charge (the owner I think) couldn't be more charming, as was the lady who brought our food. Highly recommended.

Having moved to the area earlier this year, Ellendens has become part of our life. I pop there on my own for a coffee with the dog to pick up groceries & enjoy a quiet coffee. I take friends up there to enjoy the amazing cakes; they too in turn visit now & take their friends & family. My partner & I enjoy weekend mornings there for a coffee, and he adores the meat they sell. Their Tomahawk steak is the best we’ve ever had. The important thing about Ellendens is the personal touch. Sarah (the owner) cares about what happens. Mistakes happen sometimes (it does with everyone business) but Sarah & her staff always go out of their way to to make something right. Claire in the cafe stayed open longer one afternoon just so my mum could have a coffee & cake with her friends; that added time into her shift. I’ve witnessed customers be rude to them (which I find shocking after what we have been through as a nation) for no apparent reason, & they are still met with compassion & a smile. This is a lovely genuine family business that has supported the community throughout lockdown & I hope customers don’t forget that all too quickly when prices may have to increase so that they can continue to remain open. Incredibly helpful people, with respect & cheer. Amazing food & cakes & delicious coffee. Beautiful fresh produce & a little treasure that Harvington is lucky to have. Our Dog loves it too - he drags us in there as we walk past on a dog walk

Well worth a visit to this lovely farm shop! The cafe is lovely and the seating and view outside is fab. Their farm shop had a great range of products and prices seemed reasonable. Picked up some local Perry cider which I highly recommend. The cafe was really nice, though no display board/menu on show so we were guessing a bit when it came to ordering. The young lady serving was nice but did seem surprised that we wanted food! Thankfully I’d seen on another review that they were doing beef sandwiches so we went with two of them. As standard they’re served with rocket and horseradish (which I can’t stand - didn’t say it anywhere but luckily I guessed and asked for it without) The beef was delicious and we met the owner on the way out said it’s their own meat, which is fab. The sandwiches were nice, though a little basic being served with neither crisps nor salad. This may be the kitchen not working at full capacity though, to be fair. We sat outside and loved the views over the fields and the animals pottering around. Tables were nicely spaced out and the outside space was dog friendly which is fab. Drinks menu was good and coffee was given the thumbs up by my other half. Would happily visit here again and would love to return to see what the full menu is like.

This place is fantastic, value for money, best burgers i have EVER tasted and the food is ethically sourced from their own farm by the people you see every day. If you value taste and whether your animals are well looked after before they hit your plate there is no better place to shop. The veg tastes like veg should, like the veg tasted when i was a kid unlike the supermarkets which buy from overseas and ship unripe tasteless food. The Cafe serves product that you can buy in the shop so it's like a try before you buy deal. Try the Lamb, none better, the burgers, as i have said the best i have tasted, Beef is amazing, well just try everything, never has a bad bit of sood from here

Ellenden is our "Go to" place when we want to meet up with family and friends. Having the choice between country kitchen inside or being spoilt by the lovey views outside, Ellenden is great. The food is always amazing and so are the staff!! My go to choice is the sausage, bacon and egg bap...always a winner.. and the salads are huge. Even through lockdowns when I was unable to get to the shops, our family could rely on Ellenden and Sara to ensure our shopping list was filled with the freshest produce that is locally sourced.

It’s a touch quirky set as it is behind farm shop and the service was a bit slow, but it’s friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is good with a nice range of choice. We had Sunday lunch, good beef, nice vegetables and proper home made gravy, none of your packet mixes here. Really enjoyed it and would go back again.

We popped into the cafe were there is a great selection of rolls, salads, cakes and drinks etc to choose from all surrounded by a beautiful setting, Dianne as always had a smile for everyone. Thank you Sarah and David for providing us with this little gem.

Mmmm. Although only serving tea n cakes it's worth a trip in these trying times. I've just had a homemade coffee n walnut cake and my partner a homemade victoria sponge and they were so moist and good portions. Tea was refreshing. Sitting out in the sun with horses, geese and ducks with a great view and fresh air - what more could you want?

A really pleasant experience, with quick, friendly service and a nice range of tasty food. The eating area is bright and open and you can eat outside overlooking the farm on warmer days. Super place.

We visited Ellenden twice, at the beginning and end of a long weekend birthday celebration in the Cotswolds. So we had both lunch and breakfast here. It was a brilliant find. It is a homely venue with very friendly staff, who were extremely helpful in ensuring that my gluten free requirement was met on both occasions (I am coeliac). The food was prepared from high quality local produce and was very well cooked. We also went away with a couple of steaks from the farm shop, which provided a delicious evening meal when we arrived home. We will definitely head back here next time we are in the area.

Whilst we were a little disappointed by the small farm shop and small range of local foods, we actually went there for breakfast. That was very good value. We were pleased that it was served on very hot plates meaning the food stayed warm till all eaten.

A lovely warm welcome by staff. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed our breakfast. The lady behind counter serving our coffee was attentive and sold me a beautiful homemade cake which I shall enjoy later. All staff made our visit exceptional, we also purchased their cider to enjoy. Well done ladies we will be back.
