Booked theatre last minute ..emailed for late availability in Bistro not really expecting table but we were lucky. Prompt courteous service on email. Restaurant virtually full on arrival, mix of diners, nice atmosphere. Seasonal selection menu with daily special, drinks order taken promptly. We had 3 very nice courses, presented well, hot and very tasty my beef brisket wellington was... More

We booked for a pre show lunch. The food was delicious and service was prompt and attentive. There is only a small selection of food available but it seemed to have something for everyone. The only thing that spoilt the ambience were the walkers stomping in in full kit including maps to looks at the sculpture in the restaurant. Slightly... More

Dined here with a friend before a show. We were only planning on having two courses but ended up having three as the food was fantastic. Every course was delicious and just the right amount for me. The service was spot on. The price very reasonable and I loved the mini bottle of prossecco I had all to myself. I've... More

We've eaten here many times but it is getting noticeably less impressive. 1 turn down the lights to give it some atmosphere. It is now like eating in a staff canteen. 2 increase the menu. Tonight were 4 choices plus a special. 2 veggie and one fish!! Some of use eat meat 3 chill the white wine. 2nd time in... More

The theatrical production of "Ghost" was amazing. I wish I could say the same for the pre show meal. I thought it would be a excellent birthday surprise for a very good friend of mine. Sorry to say I/we were disappointed. The Bistro lacked ambiance, felt cold and unwelcome. The food was "okay" It was a little like the atmosphere... More

Sorry - just quoting a line from our favourite musical, the reason for our visit to Malvern and an enjoyable meal in the bistro. We booked as part of the theatres "celebration package" which included show tickets and a meal with champagne and wine - excellent value. Some reviewers comment that the bistro resembles a cafe or even factory canteen.... More

Having had great coffee here, we were looking forward to trying it for lunch. My husband and I both had the Indonesian chicken curry - it was truly awful, a creamy mess that was lukewarm, as was the rice. If the food hadn't been so tasteless we might have asked for it to be heated up ... but it wasn't... More

Was surprised that the table one books remains yours for the whole evening. Therefore if you haven't room for dessert or you haven't finished your wine with your meal you can have it served in the interval at your reserved table. Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt there was an adequate choice of meals on offer. Tables were not placed... More

Staff very friendly and nothing to much trouble. Unfortunately the room lacked atmosphere , I would prefer dimmer lighting it felt like we were in a school canteen. Not a massive choice for "main courses" , what we had was cooked beautifully , but just not enough! Feared I may need a bag of chips on the way home (... More
