I went to this pub several times with my friends for a drink. It can serve basically all our needs for drinks with various choices of beers, ciders, wines, spirits, etc. Especially in Friday, there will be a Quiz night instead of music like the others which is quite interesting.

This is my local and I can highly recommend it. The food is unpretentious, excellent quality and with generous portions wonderful value. The beer is top-rate as well, and the bar staff friendly, so for a pub what more could you ask for?

My wife and I visited this place on a wet cold Saturday in January. I had the mixed grill and my wife had the gammon special of the day. The food was very good and incredible value for money. We shall definitely be returning as it's just the place to eat after a buffeting on the pier.

Go here quiet regular and have to say for the price you pay you surely do know you have had a great sized meal. Not sure were else you can get a mixed grill for under £7. Friendly bar staff and always accommodation to my awkwardness no egg, but a jug of gravy.....

Went for an evening meal. Prices extremely cheap on menu. I was going to have the gammon but they had none left, so i had the rump steak, cheesy chips, tomato and mushrooms. All very tasty and adequate. Washed down with a couple of large gin & tonics. My husband decided to try the mixed grill stottie. The barman said... More

It was a nice little pub, but nothing special. Had some quirky decorations all over the place and thousands of beer mats on the walls, but apart from that it was nothing to write home about. Guy behind the bar pleasant enough, but it was dead when we visited.

This is a very popular pub which is no surprise when you look at the prices on the menu. Don't go looking for tofu burgers or a vegan salad, it's not that kind of place. But for a big platful & good cheao beer you can'r go wrong.

I always enjoy coming here, and with it being close to the pier I often couple the two. An old style pub, it screams tradition and I always feel it's sad that there aren't more places left like this.
