Visited this place twice during our time in Snowdonia. Impressed by the vast array of cakes and choice of hot and cold drinks. We enjoyed our cakes and found staff to be polite and friendly. It wasn't too busy during our stay so we didn't have problems waiting in long queues as others have described. I like the ethical ethos... More

Five of us had a lovely lunch in warm cosy surrounding. Food was great and local and interesting. A lot of detail about conservation work they support. Drinks ranged from craft beers to lots of specialist teas.

We had lunch here at the alpine coffee shop and I have to say the beef and mushroom pie was the best pie I've ever eaten! The chips were divine - home cooked! Love home cooked chips, and my partners beef burger was delicious. There is an array of cakes for all likes - we wanted one of each! And... More

Neat coffeeshop with a great active young vibe and wonderful baked goods and nice sandwhiches. Can get crowded with tourists and noisy being right in the center of things in Betws, but worth a visit especially early in the mornings when not so busy ...

Do not understand the positive reviews.... First went here on a busy summer afternoon to get a coffee- 45 minutes waiting in a queue, a waitress taking orders and making the coffees, with a polite sign saying they are understaffed and please bear with them, i understood. Months later and i'm there for lunch on a drizzly february lunchtime and... More

Popped in for afternoon tea with wife. Very busy, even in mid February. Large selection of cakes & goodies, varied menu. Wife had cream tea, I had a massive meringue and some cake. All very nice. Some of the cakes are gluten free or vegan or something, which makes them seem dryer than normal - not moaning, just be aware!... More

Popped in late on last weekend. Staff were all very friendly, the cafe was very tidy. Lovely and cozy with comfy seating. I really loved the theme of the cafe, so nice to see a small business supporting some amazing causes! We had coffees, milkshakes and cakes. Couldn't fault a thing! Loads of choice of vegan cakes and gluten free... More

Stopped off here for a cake and warm drink. Such a lovely place to visit and why not stop at the Alpine for a bite to eat. Delicious cakes but could do with more choice. My little girl was disappointed as no red velvet. The meringue are the best I've ever seen and so big, served with a scoop of... More
