We were a walking group of friends that had met up for the weekend. We were aware that the Bistro offered breakfast on Sunday morning so with delight we made it part of our plan. It was a cracking breakfast. Lovely and hot and well presented.
In hindsight, we should have booked/warned the team as we did overwelm the business - there were about 12 of us in total. I should know better. The team and their service was great and friendly even though we had put them all under strain, especially the chef. Everyone enjoyed a great meal before heading out for a swim in the lake and long journeys home. Thank you for accomodating us and we have talked about coming back soon..... but we will ensure we book next time.

Popped in one night planning to have a drink and ended up staying for a meal. Food was good - my mate enjoyed his fish n chips and I was very happy with the lamb shank.
The young fella running the Bistro bar/who seemed to be in charge overall was a credit to his profession, very welcoming and organised and made for a good night (noteworthy because he seemed to be having a few staffing issues that night and on another night we found his counterpart on the 'sports bar' side of the hotel a bit stroppy and unfirendly)

We had dinner here after climbing Snowdon earlier in the day. Have to say the food was great, really tasty mains and desert which we really enjoyed. Good value for money and decent sized portions too.
However, the service from the waiting team was pretty poor. We were told to find a table on arrival but left without menus for nearly 10 minutes, we weren't in a rush so didn't mind waiting a bit but we felt as though we'd been forgotten about having to wait a long time to order etc. When we had long finished dinner and wanted to order pudding, we had to wander around the restaurant to find someone (who was only standing around chatting to a colleague) to take our order. None of the tables had been cleared and whilst we were there one of the young waiters spilt and entire pint of beer on a customer at another table - obviously accidents happen but the staff didn't seem to do much to help clear it up, dry them off or apologise.
This could be a really great restaurant -its a nice place to sit down for a meal with a reasonably priced menu and great tasting food, they just need to work on their customer service!

Just stumbled across the Padorn whilst looking for a place to go for lunch and so glad we came here. The food was well priced and delicious. My little boy is a really fussy eater and Dave the manager was so accommodating letting us amend the children's options a little to suit my little ones needs. He also interacted really well with my little boy and made his visit here really special. Would recommend anyone to visit The Padorn.

Was served by Dave and I couldn’t have asked for a better customer service. Food was served quick and hot, all items on the breakfast were cooked to perfection! 10/10 for the service off Dave and others but dave was so welcoming and friendly!

Enjoyed an evening meal with four friends, we all had a grand experience. Two vegetarians well catered for, all food was delicious, drinks reasonably priced, staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

The staff were wonderful! I was eating on my own as I am in the area for work and the staff really made me feel welcomed and engaged in lovely conversation with a great sense of humour. I had a delicious but absolutely huge burger and perfect chips. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal and great service. Thank you to David and the team!

David and all his fellow staff were very accommodating in making a last minute booking for about 13 people when we were let down by a neighbouring pub/hostel. We had a burger menu which was very good with vegan/vegetarian options and excellent potato fries. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff particularly David excellent. Everyone left the evening feeling very satisfied with a great night out.

Wonderful, super kind and warmly welcoming staff. We came back all wet from our walk and their kindly let us stay, dry, have much needed hot drinks and food. We truly appreciated the kindness of the staff who so kindly turned on the heater and fireplace to keep us warm. We highly recommend! Thank you again!!

Fitted us in last minute although they were fully booked. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Double Burger was absolutely fantastic and the chips were spot on and the meal was very filling and good value. Would definitely recommend it and would visit again!

Dave and Leslie welcomed us in from the US like family! We came in late from London and were so excited to checkin and relax. They made us feel right at home even though we were a large party of 8 (with 2 kids) and got in after 8pm. The dinner was memorable as Dave shared stories about all the films made in the area and poured amazing beer. Highly recommend the Rhubarb gin and tonics he and the team make here 10/10

Excellent home cooked food. Really friendly staff. Had lunch with my 12 year old daughter. I had the lamb shank which just melted. My daughter had the scampi with peas and chips. We shared the scampi so I got surf and turf! Generous portions. Well cooked with quality ingredients. Lamb clearly from a good source, and the scampi was excellent, really tasty. Obviously freshly cooked and brought straight to table. I was planning on cheese and biscuits so didn't have starter, but was full having shared some of my daughter, as she saved room for dessert. She had the salted caramel brownies with salted caramel ice cream (there was a choice of flavours). It also came with frozen raspberries (and I think other berries but I only got a small taste!). Adding these frozen berries stops the ice cream melting too quickly I found out, which is an excellent idea, but the addition goes so well. All home made (by Dave the Duty Manager, who we chatted to about it). My daughter is an expert on brownie and sticky toffee desserts and this was her favourite ever. Better than 3 Michelin stars that rating! Excellent food, good prices, really friendly and welcoming staff. First visit but will be back. Wish it was in our area

Dave and the team were great hosts. We loved the bar and the beer garden / seating. Our room on the top floor was spacious, and had an amazing shower with stunning mountain view’s from the window. We ate in the restaurant - the 12oz burger and double-cooked chips were amazing, lovely veggie curry too, and all piping piping hot! Lots of breakfast choices and a relaxed self-service option for the continental. Again, full Welsh cooked option was really hot and freshly prepared.

We were seated in a room with a table of 12 who were drunk, lids and obnoxious. I asked to be moved and Owen understood the situation and dealt with it immediately. Food came very quickly and we had an enjoyable evening rather than a stressful one. Great customer service.

We ate at the bistro within the hotel twice during May before and after climbing Snowdon. We enjoyed the food, casual atmosphere and music. The staff are attentive. Dave the manager not only runs a tight ship, he is also a font of knowledge on the local mountains and folklore. A definite recommendation.
