Stopped here on the way back from Brecon , they allow dogs in the bar but not the restaurant. The bar is really olde worlde but very pleasant , some nice real ales on offer and the bar meals are great and good value for money. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming , will definitely call again.

Having visited this establishment on many occasions was surprised recently to be asked are you eating or only calling for a drink when our reply was a drink we were told that unless we were eating we couldn't visit,

Dear Elaine Please can you let me know who you were greeted by? Male/female, young /old? I am sorry that you were treated in this way as we are a pub after all, We are not in a habit of turning drinkers away, we may have to turn food away as we do not always have enough tables. Kind regards... More

Great little traditional pub with a warm welcome. Not a vast selection of ales but a fair one. Some good cyders on offer. If your visiting the area it's worth a warm in front of the fire.

Visited last Sunday for lunch on spur of moment. We rang and managed to book a table. Lovely old pub - roaring fire, friendly barman. My fiancé had the beef dinner and myself the chicken. Very tasty, lovely veg and plenty of it. Desserts were great too. Will definitely return

The food was delicious, served hot and nothing was too difficult for the staff, all friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I... More

After a long hike in the mountains Tai'r Bull is a perfect place to warm up and relax at the fire place and enjoy a good English meal.
