Called today at lunchtime. For fish and chips, when we got home and plated it up we were stunned, the fish was raw and slimy beneath the batter which was also like rubber. Chips were pathetic and the mushy peas were awful. We have said in the past we wouldn't use this place again after earlier experiences. Decided today to... More

Had our fish & chips from here for our tea on Friday as we were on a weekend away in Porthcawl, as usual batterless cod was delicious and their home made mushy peas!

Waited 25 mins for two portions of chips, pie mushy peas and gravy Food quality is very good but not worth the wait. I appreciate some food is cooked to order but when busy why wait till people are at till to cook fish etc. Lots of signs boasting about food but please Improve service

This place is always busy, you have to que and then wait for the food to be fresh cooked. I left the chippy after placing my order and went for a pint in the Reybah next door. That worked a treat. Once you get the food home you realise you probably should have ordered the small fish large as its... More

Another eatery living on past glory! Having not treated myself to fish and chips from here in a long time I took a drive over to what use to be a very good good chippy. I was flabbergasted at the prices now charged. With £10 in my pocket I thought it would be more than enough to cover a large... More

Lovely tasty fish and chips, shame about the prices.! Busy shop every day of the week. Never any offers for Oap or kids. But it's clean and food always served fresh and hot.

Closest chip shop to Broadlands, so used again but price of chips is ludicrous. There are much better fish and chip shops in the Bridgend area charging much less.

With other local chippies in Bridgend not opening on weekends (Saturday night & Sunday) Finnegans has developed a bit of a monopoly in the area. The chips generally are very good and fish is always cooked to order this is always fresh, however the prices are just insanely expensive compared to other just as good and some better chip shops.... We haven't used Finnegan's for few years but thought we'd give them a try once more. We soon wished that we hadn't! The chips were disgusting! They tasted as if they'd been retrieved from a dustbin and reheated! They were incredibly dry and left an awful taste and feel in our mouths. We all agreed that we'd never tasted chips... More
