Even though I live in Bridgend County Borough I have never been there before today. My mother and I went for afternoon tea as my mother had received it as a gift for her birthday. The premises were exceptionally clean, staff friendly and extremely helpful and of course the food was 1st class. After looking at the lunchtime menu and... More

Popped in for an evening meal, we were seated straight away and ordered drinks which were delivered immediately. We took a little longer to order food and the waitress was helpful when asked what meals are served with. The food took a little longer than usual pubs but was absolutely worth the wait as it is clearly freshly prepared rather... More

I am not one to write too many reviews on places, but felt I should leave a 5 star comment for the 5 star meal we had. Went with my family over the Christmas period and really enjoyed the entire meal from start to finish. As a guy who is fond of his food, it was great to see a... More

They claim to be dog-friendly in the bar and, if you wish to eat, in the conservatory. We called in today and were told the bar was out of bounds to dogs, but we could sit in the conservatory. The doors were wide open into the conservatory and it was below freezing outside! I pointed out that they say dogs are... More

We've visited a few times through work as a group of 6-10, it's normally been lovely; food tasty, well cooked and plentiful. Unfortunately the last few times we've visited the food had barely been edible, meat burnt to a crisp, chips hard and a long wait between ordering and being served. It's a shame.

The Caeffatri Bar and Grill is a privately owned bar and restaurant in the heart of Bridgend. The Management has over 20 years experience in the leisure industry and following the success of The Highwayman Inn, Rhoose, decided to embark on a new venture.

Situated off Coity Road, close to the Princess of Wales Hospital, The Premier Inn & McArthur Glen outlet village at Junction 35 of the M4, the restaurant is open daily for lunch and evening meal.

The Caeffatri has undergone a substantial investment to give it a new lease of life with a fully refurbished bar, restaurant, lounge and function rooms. The new menu has been devised by our Head Chef and offers a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes with all produce being sourced locally. Dishes range from traditional pub classics, steaks, fish dishes, daily specials, Sunday lunches, a freshly prepared children menu and not forgetting the Highwayman infamous Condemned Mans Meal.
