I'm a new resident in Cardiff and my birthday was approaching so I thought I'd try to choose somewhere quite fancy to have a meal with my family who had traveled from the middle of England to come and see me. So I chose 'The Pot' and it was fantastic! I started off sharing a beautifully presented platter of breads,... More

Went with Cardiff Masters Swimming Club for our Christmas dinner. Took the whole restaurant. An intimate bistro which created a friendly atmosphere. The menu was varied with something for everyone and we weren't disappointed. Dishes that stood out were scallops, pate, fish and the steaks. The staff were friendly and the food arrived promptly and was hot no mean feat... More

Had a quick lunch here, had heard good things and wasn't disappointed. Bouillabaisse was great with the traditional rouille, my colleague had cassoulet which was also excellent.

This was a very charming, friendly place with attentive and pleasant staff. The food was excellent and portions just about right. The wine was nice with a good selection to choose from. Whilst this was business meeting, I would certainly come back with family and friends.

Thought we’d better give the new place a try for brunch. Food and coffees were good but we were a bit surprised by how quiet the place was – it always seemed to be really busy down in Crwys Road. Come on locals. Give your new daytime café and evening bistro a try.

We had a great 3 course meal for Beaujolais day, I started with oven baked Camembert followed by chicken which was cooked excellently with a brilliant gravy followed by a rich and smooth chocolate torte. Portion sizes were generous, the atmosphere was cosy and warm and the staff were lovely. Worth a visit.

This restaurant should not be missed. I agonised over the menu - which is always a good start. Wife had bouillabaisse and loved it; daughter had crepes - ditto; daughter's friend and I had boeuf bourguinonne. Fantastic. Generous on meat, which was proper quality. Serious sauce made by someone who understands that this stew lives or dies on the sauce...and... More

This small quirky cafe style restaurant, pleasant atmosphere. Quite a busy evening, staff were nice, not overly attentive and not certain of what some of the dishes consisted of without consulting the kitchen. The table was very sticky and that was off putting. The menu was nice I chose the chicken and the sauce was delicious. My husband had the... More

I got the welsh breakfast and it didn't disappoint. I was particulary happy with the homemade beans, they were delicious. Good coffee, good adtmosphere, friendly staff and good food, happy out!
