Highly recommended! I had a few friends from England come to visit and wanted somewhere that would impress them. Cafe Citta definitely did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, best Italian food I have found in Cardiff. The staff were lovely- friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very nice- quaint, and you can really tell it is a family run... I've been to Cafe Citta three times now and I've loved it every time. The venue is small and warm, which gives it an intimate feel. The service was also just as warm and attentive. I usually have a spicy sea food pasta, which I enjoy so much that I have trouble trying anything else! With that being said. Because... More

After reading the reviews, I must say we were a little disappointed with our visit. The omens looked good with a small, busy, cosy atmosphere with a small bar as you enter and an open kitchen at the rear. We shared an antipasto starter which was OK but then again not difficult to knock up. We both chose tuna from... More

I've been meaning to go to Cafe Citta for years but never got around to it. This week, myself and some friends finally went and it was definitely worth it. Cafe Citta is a quaint, family run (from what I'm told) restaurant and has a lovely atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend booking as it is a very small restaurant - you... More

The place was obviously popular as we Had to sit outside even though it was 6:30. I'm not sure why as the starters were dull, the mains took 30 minutes to arrive and the ingredients were frozen. The garlic bread was barely defrosted and burnt at the edges. The mains, although nicely described were mediocre at best. Save your money,... More

This must be one of the smallest restaurants in Cardiff but packs a huge punch. Top notch Italian food cooked in front of you. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Not easy to find as its so small, but once you've eaten here you'll certainly make a return visit!

We were looking for a place to eat in Cardiff and stumbled on this wonderful little Italian restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff was friendly, but the amazing thing for us was the kitchen. Two people doing everything in turn, No hassle, no fuss, just turning out beautiful food. And the bottle of Chianti Classico was, as always, magnificent!... More

Great little Italian..This place was recommended by Iwan our walking tour guide..It is quite small and lively. The food was tasty and good value..The staff are friendly and attentive. I would recommend you would need to book a table if you wanted to enjoy an evening here..

Disappointed with our visit. Maybe the pizza was good, but our meal was not. Apart from the pasta there was very little on the plate. Items were also missing from the desert menu. I guess they get the items in frozen. Certainly not made in kitchen. Will not return :(

What a find! Cafe Citta is a super little Italian restaurant. Great Italian hospitality, good food and delicious wine - very good value for money. Service was brilliant and Kevin (who is in fact Catalonian!) delivered perfect service. Nothing was too much trouble and he catered for my partner's 'dairy intolerance' dietary requirements. Kevin is such a lovely sweet guy... More
