We stayed at the Royal Hotel in Cardiff for 3 nights over the valentines period. Whilst there we visited O'Neils a few times but on every occasion wether we were eating or just having a drink the staff were always friendly and made you very welcome. On the Sunday evening they had a couple of men playing live music which... More

Called in for breakfast at 6 pm (as one does after a night out). Food was excellent. Piping hot and very tasty. Not at all greasy. Staff were helpful. Cost was just right. Very impressed.

I must admit we chose O,Neills because it was quiet so no hanging about and the menu looked good value for money. I had a rump steak which I know can be a bit fatty but mine was extremely so and very chewy. Other meals in our party looked dry as if heated in a microwave or kept warm for... More

Watched Wales play England at rugby in O'Neill's 11 Feb 17. Seating... Not enough to go round but that's to be expected on a England V Wales Six Nations night. The place was packed cheek to jowl, which made getting to the bar almost impossible. It was impossible to get drinks back to where we were gathered without drenching other... More

Visited O'Neill's for a bit of lunch and decided try the Chili off of the £5 menu. As the pub was busy the service time was not bad. When the meal came I was saddened by the size for the price. The Chili was served at a reasonable temperature (Not Piping hot) but it had almost no spice I was... More

Steak very chewy. Food tasted as pre cooked and re heated very dry. Staff didnt come to check things were ok. Avoid plenty of... More

Went here on a Thursday evening and the food was ok, nothing great. Also didn't want to stay Sat here long as was quite cold. It was exceptionally cold outside so really wanted to go and sit inside somewhere to get warm which was not to be.

Had a drink here before the match, very busy and a really good atmospheric with lots of singing and a good pint. Called back after the game got in early as close to our exit from the ground, very busy and a few drunks inside who had not been to the game, spoilt the atmospher
