We visited Awa three times before COVID when you could sit down in restaurants, and the food was excellent, it was a real treat to go there. Ordered a take out tonight from the same place including Moutabal Babaghunuj, Kufta Kebab and chicken Shawarma and...it was really bad. When we opened the Shawarma box, the food literally looked like chicken scraps. We nibbled at it but had to give it the dog. It was like a lot of nothing. The Kufta Kebab was not too bad and we shared that. But the chips it came with were really wet and soggy, like something liquid had been poured over them. Nan breads were good and Moutabai not too bad. Salad was a token gesture - one pale tomato and pale lettuce. It was nothing like the quality before. Felt cheated out of a good nights supper. If someone had have said before our take out that it was going to be this bad I would never have believed them. What has happened?More

Superb, fresh and tasty skewer kebabs. We walked in to order and our food was cooked fresh Infront of us for take away. Great quality and value for money. Friendly service.

2 stars for the delicious dahl we were brought as we sat down. Vegan options I was offered were veggie burger or small side salad. I opted for falafel with hummus and rice - all of which were unremarkable. I was told I couldn't have...tap water, I had to buy bottled water. I questioned this but was still denied tap water. On paying I was told that they do of course provide tap water - after I've been forced to pay for a drink. My group seemed to enjoy their food but no one finished it -the portion sizes are so big and it's a shame that so much food goes to waste. I don't expect somewhere so meat-orientated to offer a vast vegan selection but I would usually be able to get grilled vegetables and rice. Think about catering for that one vegan in the group, or you will lose the custom of the entire group.More

Love the food and staff are friendly. The juice is delicious. It is all freshly squeezed. Today we had the lunchtime offer previously this was only available on a Sunday. Any Wrap, chips and a soft drink which includes the juices. This is an ideal...place to visit for a bite to eat whilst out shopping. Would recommend.More

What a fantastic meal we had! We ordered the platter for two and it arrived in 35 mins on a Saturday night, piping hot and delicious. We cannot wait to eat here again! Brilliant service and great food!

Tried this for dinner tonight as in Swansea for work. Had the mix grill. Chicken and lamb Shish and kofte. Came with Nann bread. Everything was lovely, portions are big and couldn’t eat it all. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We had already tried to get in on a Monday but it was very much first come first served during the government £10 discount scheme. We noticed people had started queueing as early as 5pm to get a table. So we did the same on...the Wednesday we went. This restaurant seems highly popular with Middle Eastern families which are often large so it's tricky getting a table. We were 6. The consensus was to opt for the platter for 6 which was gigantic. I opted for spicy hummus which was very good but much larger than I had anticipated. Traditional flatbread accompanies everything. I had Mixed shish a generous portion which I found hard work as the meat was a bit tough and rather dry. We opted for mint tea and baklava which was OK but had better baklava. Note that although they have no alcohol they do have some gorgeous smoothy fruit drinks. They also don't do coffee so I suspect that this isn't Turkish run. There was no attempt at table distancing for Covid nor were the staff wearing face masks or Shields. They did have some of the latter which the two waitresses half heartedly wore for about 5 minutes but then removed them. The gross bill for 6 was still reasonable before discount but huge portions apart, we have had tastier of this type of food which didn't quite make the markMore

Visited the restaurant first thoughts it seemed like a nice restaurant until we were served by waiters that questioned if the things we ordered were even on the menu. Then to finally be brought out food that was raw and considering we have been in...a pandemic for months part of our food was put on the wrong table then after a couple of minutes they removed the food and put it on our table without changing it for fresh. Then to finally have a trip to the toilet made feel the need to go home and shower it was stinking dirty. The owner walks around smiling but totally clueless and doesn’t listen to your complaints. Don’t recommend visiting!More

Like most places in the city centre, you will have to park in one of the many car parks dotted around the city and walk to this place.
