We had already tried to get in on a Monday but it was very much first come first served during the government £10 discount scheme. We noticed people had started queueing as early as 5pm to get a table. So we did the same on the Wednesday we went. This restaurant seems highly popular with Middle Eastern families which are often large so it's tricky getting a table. We were 6. The consensus was to opt for the platter for 6 which was gigantic. I opted for spicy hummus which was very good but much larger than I had anticipated. Traditional flatbread accompanies everything. I had Mixed shish a generous portion which I found hard work as the meat was a bit tough and rather dry. We opted for mint tea and baklava which was OK but had better baklava. Note that although they have no alcohol they do have some gorgeous smoothy fruit drinks. They also don't do coffee so I suspect that this isn't Turkish run. There was no attempt at table distancing for Covid nor were the staff wearing face masks or Shields. They did have some of the latter which the two waitresses half heartedly wore for about 5 minutes but then removed them. The gross bill for 6 was still reasonable before discount but huge portions apart, we have had tastier of this type of food which didn't quite make the mark

Love the food and staff are friendly. The juice is delicious. It is all freshly squeezed. Today we had the lunchtime offer previously this was only available on a Sunday. Any Wrap, chips and a soft drink which includes the juices. This is an ideal place to visit for a bite to eat whilst out shopping. Would recommend.

This was the first time me and my friends tried this place and I can honestly say it was the nicest food I've had. The the mixed grill for one was delicious, beautifully cooked and more than enough for one person. The good was so tasty and piping hot we will most definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you for such lovely food

Food was okay, but was high in fat content, and somewhat salty. Felt quite thirst afterwards. The salad and hummus were the best parts of the meal. Also, a lack of attention to detail as they forget to pack one item. I would advise checking that all items have been packed if ordering a takeaway when visiting this restaurant. Certainly, below what I expected given the many positive reviews.

I've eaten in AWA on many occasions with my family. Pre Covid-19 we usually ate inside the restaurant but, since the pandemic, we've placed our orders over the phone and collected them after roughly 30 minutes. Although AWA offer a variety of food, the half chicken is our favourite. It's cooked on an open grill and it is absolutely delicious. It is very tasty, moist and succulent and it comes with loads of tasty chips and the most amazing flat bread, as well as a side-salad. Unbelievably, this scrumptious treat only costs £8.95 per person. It is exceptional value for money.

We had a tasty meal here of a mixed platter and grilled prawns. The bulghur wheat salad is divine. The fresh juices were delicious, especially the watermelon juice. Best to reserve a table as it can get busy. Very Covid-19 safe, socially distanced tables, cutlery and wipes in individual paper bags and hand sanitiser on every table. Staff are really friendly and the service was within a reasonable time frame. All food is cooked fresh to order.

No wonder this restaurant is so popular especially with Middle Eastern families. Happily we had reserved because there was a GCSE celebration with a party of 20 family and friends. This was a Thursday yet it looked like most other restaurants' Saturday. We had the platter for 2 but it could have served nearly 4. And it was just a shade under £30. All the meats were beautifully tender and their home made garlic sauce was delish. Their range of juices is amazing and for just £2.99. We didn't have room for it but a neighbouring table finished with Baklava, 5 generous pieces for £2.99. Despite being so busy the staff coped admirably without seeming to be rushed. I don't know how they manage it but the food seems to be cooked largely in the restaurant but there was not a hint of smell. Tremendous food nice atmosphere and a holographic fan on the wall we couldn't manage to video... Well we live 200 miles away but we liked it last year and even more so this. Brilliant.

We visited Awa three times before COVID when you could sit down in restaurants, and the food was excellent, it was a real treat to go there. Ordered a take out tonight from the same place including Moutabal Babaghunuj, Kufta Kebab and chicken Shawarma and it was really bad. When we opened the Shawarma box, the food literally looked like chicken scraps. We nibbled at it but had to give it the dog. It was like a lot of nothing. The Kufta Kebab was not too bad and we shared that. But the chips it came with were really wet and soggy, like something liquid had been poured over them. Nan breads were good and Moutabai not too bad. Salad was a token gesture - one pale tomato and pale lettuce. It was nothing like the quality before. Felt cheated out of a good nights supper. If someone had have said before our take out that it was going to be this bad I would never have believed them. What has happened?

Was not happy with the customer service today. It was my sons birthday and took them here for the first time cos I have visited here before. It took time for our order to come and notwithstanding, 1 order was missing out of the 4 dishes and a wrong one we dint order came in. Told the lady that took our order there was a mistake but notwithstanding, because of the long time it takes to prepare the dish, I can accept the order but with a discount it’s pricey than what was ordered but she rudely said no and dint bother if what we got will be enough. My kids were not satisfied cos it was one of their order that was missing. The birthday boy was so upset cos he dint have enough. I honestly wasn’t happy. Secondly, the food portion has reduced compared to the first time I came here. At the end of the day, we paid for service charge when we had bad service. Our day was ruined.

Popped in for an early dinner, a nice welcome and a large dining area but the decor and furniture is a bit tired and needs updating. There is a very extensive menu the food arrived quickly and the portions were very generous but the quality was average. Doesn't have an alcohol licence.

First experience at Awa and it was fantastic. The waiter was so nice and helpful with my questions about the food. We explained we hadn’t tried the food before and they served us a large plate of burgul to try alongside our other delicious main items (lamb chops, chicken shish, chips, rice, salad and nan bread). The fresh juice was also tasty (watermelon + watermelon, mango & pineapple). The restaurant is nicely decorated and food was served so quickly. Prices were reasonable (£35 all in for 2 of us). Will definitely come back with family and friends and will spread the word.

We decided to try a few new restaurants to take advantage of the government eat out scheme. Food here was excellent, staff were friendly but over-worked as they were busy. We were sat down for over an hour before we had our food, my drink didn't turn up until after I finished my meal, I did ask 3 times as everyone else's had turned up. They seem to prioritise take aways over sit in dining.

We've been wanting to try here for a while, and wasn't disappointed. Friendly welcome, on entering the restaurant. We had the sharing platter for 2, with rice, fries and Bulgar, it was an absolute pile of food with great flavours. Some flat bread and salad came with it. The platter is ideal to try the different meat on offer. My wife had a freshly made fruit juice which was delicious. We failed to eat everything on the table! Definitely recommend.

This was lunch. They do a special of wraps chips. And a fruit cocktail for £8.95. I had that; my wife and two friends went for the platter for two. It was vast, tender and de.icious. iIt not only fed three but would have fed 4 comfortably with some left over. They have an enormous selection of long fruit cocktails with every imaginable combination. Some reviewer said they o nly take cash. This is not so. Our waitress said that their card machine was broken for a while but is now fine. Yes they have an ATM by the entrance and yes there is a charge but it's only 99p so hardly excessive. We will certainly be back at our next visit to Swansea

We are regular customers here! Food is always stunning, simple and delicious. The staff are always helpful. I recommend the halloumi starter and the shawarma wrap with rice and salad. Best Turkish around 😁
