I arrived at 7.15pm on my way home for a meal. I was surprised as it was crowded. Staff were very effecient. I ordered the single meal special with a glass of wine. There is a choice of wines. Main course was limited. I had lamb jalfriezi with pilau rice. Portion size was not big. Curry could have been spicier... More

Good friendly staff, who were good with our grandson. Had a takeaway, which was neither good nor bad, but certainly pretty standard restaurant fayre. Nice touch was a free bottle of wine with the order. Certainly customer care high on the order.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner at Benegal Brasserie on our recent trip to Belfast. The staff was welcoming and found us a table despite not having a booking. The food was excellent especially the chicken tandoori and appetizer plate. Enough to box up and have dinner in our Airbnb the next night. We had a nice chat... More

Three of us called in (Friday night early without booking, which was a bit cheeky). Staff were really friendly, found us a place quickly, (it was already getting busy at 6.30), service was terrific and food absolutely lovely. Great Indian restaurant but at the weekend better to book.

Booked a meal for 6 people and left the food to Bengal's (Ahmed's) discretion. All dishes were excellent. Mixed starters, several different main dishes, lots of nan, meant we could easily share. There was an extensive wine list, reasonably priced. The restaurant was busy and there was a lively atmosphere. We'll be back. Thank you.

Myself and four friends dined at the Bengal Brasserie last night and I am very glad that we did! The popadoms and accompanying sauces were some of the best I have had anywhere (the spiced onions were particulary good!). Each one of our main dishes were also very good. My lamb jal jal and chicken tikka masala were both excellent... More

I have eaten in all of the Indian restaurants in Belfast and can honestly say the Bengal Brasserie, Ormeau Road is the best. Nigel the restaurateur is also a wonderful chef, if it's not on the menu just let him know what you want and he'll make it for you, nothing is too much bother. He has an amazing restaurant... More
