Visited here with friends from England. Lovely friendly bar with traditional music. Gets very busy so get there early to get a seat.

The Hewitt has always shone on both service and food and it has kept pace with some interesting new beers. As a relatively 'young' bar it always seemed to be familiar, even well established. If today's visit is representative, it may be loosing it touch...More

Had lunch here last week, ordered the chicken pie - not a real pie - but absolutely delicious! Friends had the smoked fish fish cake and they loved it too. Service was good and a nice selection of drinks as well. Would definitely go again.

We ate here at lunchtime in late August. The food was good, service excellent, and overall an enjoyable afternoon. It's a much better bar in the evening but that doesn't take anything away from the pleasant overall atmosphere. Well recommended.
Came here our first night in Ireland, in Belfast for a few drinks, after seeing the reviews. Lived up to expectations. No frills place, with good beer, good service, and the band that was playing was terrific.
