We were here for a night cap after a family dinner. The bar tender was very attentive and made drinks to order based on preferences (although the extensive drinks menu does provide plenty of choice too). Great atmosphere with live music.

This is a really neat jazz bar that's in the Merchant Hotel in Belfast. The band had just set up when we got there. We actually sat over in the bar area, but the music was also being piped through their sound system, so it felt like we were right up next to the stage. They have an extensive cocktail... More

Great cocktails and drinks. V cosy and good service, but not the cheapest. It would be a perfect date place.

Had a few drinks a while back with family, very impressed with the table service and the knowledge of cocktails from the waiter, excellent all round.

Much to our dismay, whilst out shopping with my wife the heavens opened (as it does in Belfast occasionally) fortunately for us Bert's Wine Bar was within a short hop skip and a jump. Having taken refuge within this little gem of a place and deciding that the weather was not going to change, we set about exploring the craft... More

Wow! First time at Bert's last Friday night for dinner and I was blown away! The food, ambience and staff were incredible. The Maitre D' (Adam) and our waiting staff treated us like royalty and we received truly 5-star treatment. Our table was close to the stage and offered us a close-up view of the band. Our food was cooked... More

Steak was succulent but the accompanying chips/ French fries were hard and tasteless. The waitress was knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and ensured we had excellent service. A jazz band playing, sealed the celebratory atmosphere.

Sitting here presently, we had been moved on from the cocktail bar at the main merchant hotel which was entirely fine. Other customers were also redirected to bertz, the staff at bertz were not prepared to accommodate such numbers and it became it obvious very quickly that the staff were less than happy with the situation that had been thrust... Second visit to Bert's Jazz Bar. truly disappointed with our meal on this occasion. For a restaurant within one of the top hotels in Belfast the food was extremely disappointing. Also, our meals were served on wooden platters, again not suffice for a 'high end' restaurant. When booking our table the t's & c's state there is a stage charge... More
