I would recommend that you see this restaurant as it is unique. We didn't eat here , but would have if our schedule would have allowed it. Wheel chair accessible.

Surrounded by carvings and elegance that pulls you back into the age of the Titanic era luxury, anyone staying at the Merchant should not miss this as a classic breakfast. Loved the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs finished by a fine cup of loose leaf tea. Even if you are not staying at the Merchant, this is a worthwhile stop.

Afternoon tea is one of those things that simply must be done right - get it wrong, you would have been better off going to a mate's house for a cup of tea, a sandwich and a slice of cake; at least you'd have saved about £30. But there are no complaints here. I have had afternoon tea in a... More

First of all, the Great Room is a gorgeous dining room whose grandeur cannot be easily described. We stayed at the hotel and dining here was a cap to a perfect stay. My husband and I enjoyed every part of our meal. I had an appetizer of langoustine with mango and avocado which was superb. As entrees my husband had... More

We enjoyed the experience of dining in such a magnificent building. Used to be the Ulster Bank and is all gold, high ceilings and cherubs. Food was to our minds quite expensive for what we had. The wine was excellent, but the sirloin steak my other half had was a bit tasteless and veggies come as extras. I had sea... More
