Initially a little disappointed when we walked down the Main Street here (sorry, Hawick devotees) looking for a lunch stop. Then we found this quirky cafe cum bookstore and all was sunshine! There's an interesting menu with lots of tasty sounding bagels. We had: Spicy sweet potato soup with bread and a feta and roasted tomato bagel with a generous... More

Oh my..... Sinking down into a squidgy sofa that embraced me like an old friend, I gazed at the walls of books around me and nestled into my little patch of Heaven. For nerdy, wordy bookwormy souls with a cake fetish and a fondness for caffeine, this place is a dream. I only popped in for a quick coffee to... More

Dog friendly coffee shop, book shop and carpet shop all rolled into one highly convivial package. Just a total delight to settle down in on a cold winters day.

Went to met a worker so I had time for 2 lattes and a bagel. The bagel was nice salad was was not to my tasting. Prices are not too bad. Chip & Pin and possible contactless would go down a treat with people who don't carry cash on them. No Brown sauce 8/10 on visit . Food 9/10 Will... More

Lovely cafe, really relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. Corn chowder was delicious, bagel very tasty. This was our first visit but will not be our last.

A classic case of visiting a town, looking at TA reviews and finding a good spot. I was not disappointed. The best fish chowder I've had for years, good coffee and a great place to sit and read. Not easy to find but it's worth it.

Found this great cafe when we were travelling around the Borders. Good choice of homemade food using local ingredients. Vegetarian friendly and friendly. We'll definitely come back if we come through Hawick again.

What a little gem. Just had the nicest burger in yonks in this charming little cafe. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick lunch in Hawick.

Visited Hawick for a few hours yesterday and found this lovely little cafe which had nice vegetarian choices and I loved the Islamic/Syrian/Turkish feel to it. Meze was lovely and the courgette fritters a delight. Friendly, good coffee and nice people. Thank you.

I recently ate here whilst on business in Hawick. The food was fantastic - Meze style with great fresh tastes and wonderful flavours! I recommend the vine leaves, pitta and dips as they were all very nice! I will be sure to visit again when in the area next!
