We got served pretty quick but when we got our cutlery it was dirty and had food on the side. When we went up to the till the girl looked unhappy and wasn't very friendly. Also we went to the toilet and it smelled like urine and was very unclean. However the food was nice and the place had quite... More

a lovely airy cafe for having lunch the green pea soup was x and i had stovies and gravy with crusty bread and butter .My wife had the same soup and a breakfast and enjoyed it.We think the meals were under priced because of the quality and service we had and would recomend you to try it when visiting Hawick.

Very simple place in an old building, but the food is good and very good value. The specials give a wide choice for lunch and the home bakes are very nice. If you are looking for good, old fashioned food without the frills, you will like it here.

It would seem that all the items, including the bacon and sausages, are all deep fried. This resulted in the breakfast being very high in fat! The bacon was not at all tasty or soft having been deep fried and the sausages seemed all bread. The staff are friendly and welcoming but the food could have been far better presented.

We had a lovely, great value lunch in Sarah's Cafe. I had a small portion of macaroni and chips and my husband had a cheese and ham toastie. Both were delicious. Good choice of homemade cakes for dessert. We had some tasty traybake. Great service, very friendly waitresses. Cafe is obviously popular with locals. Try to get a table near... More
