We visited a group of 9 on Sunday night with a child under 1, the staff accommodated for us well and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.

This is a consistently good place to eat, especially on a Sunday when the Carvery is open. It is reasonably priced, delicious choices of meats including lamb, beef, pork and gammon and as many side dishes as you want. Alongside the carvery meats there are several options if you do not wish to take the cut meat. All in all... More

Restaurant area ok and carvery great. Not so keen on the bar area though. It's an old mans bar, women nowhere to be seen. Not somewhere I want to spend Sunday afternoons with family. If you stay in the restaurant it's not to bad. I would go back but only for a carvery as options in the area are limited.

We have been coming to the mayfield bar for around about ten years , and it was by far the best carvery around. What has happened? The staff have all changed, they have squashed as many chairs and tables in as possible! What used to be quite a enjoyable meal in a relaxed atmosphere in a cramped restaurant was not... More

Attended the Mayfield with my girlfriend for an evening meal , the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed and very clean . The staff were friendly and never felt I was being rushed , one point I would make is that if you want to be really private this may not be the place as the tables are quite close to... More
