Dumfries has many places to find a lunchtime or mid-morning place to eat, but here are two good ones, next door but one to each other, in Queensberry Street, just off High Street. Kings coffee shop has excellent coffee, pleasant staff and a range of paninis etc. a good place to meet friends or read a paper or maybe check... More

My partner and I called in here one evening for a milkshake just on a whim! We both got chocolate ones which I loved as I love chocolate but my partner didn't like it as he hasn't got such a sweet tooth! We then went back the next day and I got a strawberry blended ice drink and my partner... More

Kings is a good place to go and relax, with friendly helpful staff. Its a wee bit hidden behind Dorothy Perkins. Staff are full of knowledge of the coffee and the tea they serve.

Never been before and wanted someone in the town centre. Went in for a late lunch and and coffee. It was after two and the choice of toasties rather limited but we had a delicious tangy cheese/pepper. My latte was lovely. Nice relaxed atmosphere - place you could sit and chat. Thought it as very good value - we will... More

Second time visiting Kings with my boyfriend for an afternoon coffee and a bite to eat. Great coffee handmade not from a machine, lovely homemade cakes and scones and great seating area with a good atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when in Dumfries

Popped in for a coffee and snack having missed my breakfast. Coffee was the best I have drunk in Scotland, and the toasted tea cake was enormous too with two pats of butter (needed two, it was so big). The milk was provided in a miniature milk bottle. Waitress kindly lent me a pen so I could do my Sudoku... More

Discovered whilst on holiday in Dumfries & Galloway.Friendly staff and a lovely environment to linger over a really good flat white. Sat in the window seats with my family. The kids loved the milkshakes. A great find.
