Got the recommendation from Trip Advisor to eat here and we were glad we did. I had the tastiest Eggs Benedict and wonderful Bannofee Pie. My daughter got the largest slice of chocolate cake, which she said tasted like her Grandpa made it. High praise indeed The only reason I haven't said everything was excellent was that the pot of... We usually visit once a year when visiting relatives locally. Managed to book in for their famous burger night and wow, we were impressed. Flavoursome beefburgers, quality meat, good portions, friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere, despite being busy (and is it any wonder!). Highly recommend you call in for breakfast, lunch or early evening meal. Thoroughly recommend their own tomato ketchup,... More

I am new to the area and have made some new local friends who took me for lunch at Galloway Lodge; for a small town the Lodge was hopping, and no wonder. I had the ploughman's lunch, the plate was full to bursting with all sorts of delights and lots more cheese than I could manage. It was the best... More

I've been coming here quite regularly and have never been disappointed in any of my visits. Today was another example of the quality I receive when I come. I had the BBQ pulled pork on ciabatta bread, it was brilliant. The place does a variety of dishes and specials, which change daily. If the meatball in pasta meal is on,... More

Busy place on opening but smiling, prompt service. Lovely eggs benedict with home made mayo, served on a brioche bun. Price has gone up 15% since the website price, but still worth it, if you have the additional bacon. On the way out take a look at the many varieties of pates and meat spreads - all excellent, but no... More

We should have checked the time it closed , so our fault completely! We had walked past it on our walk from Gatehouse down past the Cally Hotel to Sandgreen and back. It was 4.20 pm when we got in to find they closed at 4.30pm. So nothing from the kitchen but would serve coffee and cake etc. We quickly... More

We were looking for lunch in the late afternoon and had initially walked past as the front looks like a tourist gift shop, not an eatery, but we went in and were surprised by how large it is inside. There was table service and a wide choice of snacks and meals plus specials too. There were also lots of speciality... More
