Booked the shio for a graduation lunch. Never had any recommendations only going on reviews. Have to say i was not disappointed. Four of us had the breaded haddock which was delicious, very fresh and served very hot. Husband had steak pie which he said...More

The Ship Inn is not a cutting edge sophisticated dining experience but knows its clientele and caters extremely well towards them. Based on the banks of the River Tay with a huge picture window, the panelling and general atmosphere inside gives a cosy atmosphere, although...More

Wow, you won't leave here hungry! Portion sizes are generous, and the food is very well cooked and presented. More pub food than fine dining, but the food is still excellent. Staff are very pleasant, and it's good value for money.

Had an enjoyable dinner whilst in Dundee, friendly staff, and nice food. Mainly Scottish with a bit plus, so smoked venison on a caprese salad for a starter. Fish was good, and fresh too, with a well kept pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord!

We ate in the restaurant upstairs. Food was "pub plus", and we had hake and smoked haddock with starters, draft beer and wine. There were the inevitable chips, of course, plus vegetables. Staff were very friendly, and location on the waterfront was very scenic. All...More

The Ship has a great location, the large picture window overlooks the Estuary, and on a nice day has a great view. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the food was a little disappointing. Friends had told us that it was a nice place...More

As a golfing group we booked an evening meal at the ship inn. The outside is rather old looking blending into the surrounding area and as you walk through the doors it's like back in time with the old style bar. It has a fantastic...More

Lunch here in the Bar at the weekend. Friendly and welcoming Waitress. Lovely food, not sure about the whole Menu but ours was a step up from other Pub Food. Nicely sized (for us) smaller portions, well presented. Will definitely return and would recommend to...More

Sorry not sure, there are plenty around there, some within easy walk. I can recommend the sister hotel of the Invercarse, Dundee. Just can't remember it's name, but it is in Broughty Ferry
