We were taken here for a family meal prior to a cinema trip. The food was superb, everyone really enjoyed their meal. I opted for the steak pie and wasn't disappointed. The gravy in it was full of flavour and there was a very good amount of well cooked tender meat in it. The accompanying veg was cooked just right... More

My fiancee & I turned up without a booking just before 6 on Valentine's night & we were fortunate enough to get a table. The service throughput was excellent & we were lucky enough to still get the 2 course special for £12.95. The food could not be faulted & the lasagne is as good as any I've tasted &... More

Been here several times now after a friend raved about how much she loved it and now it's my turn! A lovely and cosy restaurant with a menu so good it took me ages to decide what I was going to get. Food was freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend the chicken with cheese and leak. I loved it... More

I am not one for writing reviews but i had to leave a comment about the wheatsheaf. Food is superb! Best pub food in... More

However, recalling the story of the book and its cover, step inside and enjoy some of... More

Not being accustomed writing reviews or complaining about food I felt compelled to note my opinions in this case. I visited this pub in a company 9 for dinner prior to attending a play in the local village hall on a Saturday evening. The place was busy and the atmosphere generally convivial. "fillet of beef stroganoff" was a special at... More
