Very good pork terrine starter followed by generous portion of merguez sausages and frites. Restaurant is well presented, good for both business or family lunches. Service was good.

Haven't been to this place for 18 years but wow it hasn't changed much! It's still maintained a good reputation for classic Scottish foods and North African cuisine (you have to try the calamari starter - zesty and slightly spicy with a perfectly cooked squid)....More

Situated in wonderful Victoria street, this restaurant offers a choice of set menus and Al a carte dinning. We opted for a starter and a main each, but splashed out on the wine which was excellent. The old stone arches and rickety stairs to the...More

We've had to wait an hour and a half before being served as the staff had forgotten about us. The food was ok but we've been feeling sick afterwards. Nice atmosphere inside though, really cosy!

This restaurant was close to our hotel hence the booking but we were both very impressed with the atmosphere, service and quality of the food. So often we go out and are disappointed but this was excellent and would highly recommend.

I had the best venison medallion and my family had the winter deal - 2 courses (absolutely delicious). The staff were attentive and reasonable price. Will be back again for lunch today.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
