We visited Shamoli having parked near to it and so we decided to go for a curry. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive and were helpful as we made our order. We had poppadoms which came with four different sauces,...More

SHAM....BOLIC AVOID! Possibly the worst Thai takeaway food I have ever tasted. Chunks of raw ingredients thrown in to a samey, flavourless watery sauce; rubbery chicken and dry rice. These people take absolutley no pride in their cusine. Feel like I've been conned. Do yourself...More

Cozy restaurant, lovely food, ask for the early bird option if you arrive before 7pm and want to eat on a budget. The main menu can be quite pricey but food is enjoyable.

Visited as a couple just before Xmas. Don't be put off by the exterior where you enter by steep stone steps whilst other restaurants have plush exteriors. Food was faultless with a modern decor. Only issue was the toilets which whilst functional weren't as clean...More

We visited on a Saturday around 9pm and it was a good atmosphere. As it is on Royal Mile it was close to our hotel so a very good location if you’re staying central. The food was delicious, probably the best pilau rice I have...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
