We had a meal here on a recent trip to Edinburgh. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was amazing. We had the Cullen Skink and salmon marinated in vodka to start and they were superb. The salmon was out of this world....More

Very friendly restaurant. Cosy, relaxed, modestly priced, with outstanding food. If you want quintessentially Scottish food, there is haggis with mustard and drambuie sauce (divine!), cullen skink, west coast mussels, and more. Steak and seafood are their specialty. Attentive service, and chatting with the waiter...More

Wildfire is a small restaurant hidden away on Rose Street, and obviously popular. A colleague and I got the last table, on a cold Monday evening, really lucky, quite a few people were turned away after we sat down. We both ate off the specials...More

I will say I have been here twice before and it was amazing both times. In fact I have left a 5 star review for one of those visits. However, I booked on Saturday for 6pm and knew we only had the table until 8...More

A small independent restaurant in Rose Street offering very nice fare. Worth the slightly higher prices than similar establishments that are part of a chain. Booking recommended as many people were turned away.

While staying in Edinburgh we had walked past this restaurant many times , so on our last though we would give it a try. We were so glad we did, there was a meal deal but you could also order from the other menus as...More

After reading the rave reviews, I decided to have my last lunch at Wildfire before heading to the airport. The space is quaint, cozy, and quintessential Edinburgh. I had the soup of the day as a starter, and the grilled Angus steak with fries for...More

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,

with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest

it's a lovely friendly place with great food but it's small and there's nothing to interest children. I personally wouldn't take any young children there.
